So can you just swop a CID 36 camera module for a CID 49 camera module & it will work?
Will you get the 4 x zoom back in the largest picture setting?
Any need to update the original camera driver?
Ive got a old dead K750I CID 36 somewhere with a working camera module.

I hope I can do so - as just firmware changes I think I will be able to open the chassis and just change the module

I had a really good opinion on Sony Ericsson, but if they really decreased the quality of the cam module, I mus say that this is really §$%&/!! |

Ive managed to get the 4 x zoom back in the largest picture setting when I flashed my K750I to W800I firmware but its a bit dodgy.
It wont zoom correctly & it wont save the zoomed pictures, it just saves then as normal 1 x magnification.
Hopefully a fiddle with a camera driver or even swopping the camera from my dead K750I will sort the problem. |

I swap the module (old CID36)) and works succesfully (on new, CID49 K750).

SPU is on vacation, sory...
But our cam module MCB 770 is made on base of SONY 1.3MP old one cam module. May be there is some information of its control... |

with adaptive JPG, i've noticed that night shots with low noise (ie iso 80-125, maybe even 160), produce JPGs in the range of 270-400kb, but without adaptive JPG, you'd get images as you've pointed out at 412-530K, so the same argument can be had for 20% extra volume . however for night shots with lots of noise, the filesize grows so adaptive JPG doesn't make a diff.

nope, i havent been able to figure those out.. i guess you mean the commands tho.... we know the registers 09 through 10, it stuff like the JPEG size min, max, average, retry time, etc...
but as for commands, 08 is Spot photometry.. and 11 is WB.. and the ones in between are mysteries!
you never know, maybe those registers aren't used..
