MTN GPRS is as dead as it can be - both at home and at my office. The phone does not even indicate a GPRS signal. And that is inspite of the fact that I have over N750 on the line.

Since I can't join in this MTN bashing cos I didn't enjoy the awoof, one more joke:
An American tourist in Moscow found himself needing to get rid of a large supply of garbage from his recent stay at an apartment. After a long search, he just couldn't find any place to discard of it. So, he just went down one of the side streets to dump it there.
Yet, he was stopped by a Moscow police officer, who said, "Hey you, what are you doing?"
"I have to throw this away," replied the tourist.
"You can't throw it away here. Look, follow me," the policeman offered.
The police officer led him to a beautiful garden with lots of grass, pretty flowers, and manicured hedges. "Here," said the cop, "dump all the garbage you want."
The American shrugs, opens up the large bags of garbage, and dumps them right on the flowers.
"Thanks for giving me a place to dump this stuff. This is very nice of you. Is this Russian courtesy?" asked the tourist.
"No. This is the American Embassy."

@cool: You asked for a WAP link; I supplied it. The earlier link works, but only on WAP, and should work on all WAP phones. This one you 'found' is basically Web but will also work on WAP 2.0/XHTML browsers.

@senisho: I used roughly 30mb of MTN GPRS earlier this morning, and only N104 has disappeared from my account. If this is MTN's idea of billing, then I welcome it whole-heartedly.
And in the same breath, may I note that MTN GPRS has simply disappeared as abruptly as it came back on earlier today... boo! |

Yesterday evening, I loaded my MTN and as amby predicted, the errors disappeared. I had over 600 bucks when I was gleefully browsing last night till 1 am. This morning, my credit is showing 153 bucks! :-(
IS THE PARTY OVER?

@coola: Nope. The party's just about to begin :-D Its obvious that a harmonized billing platform is not active yet. N104 for 30mb of GPRS data here; about N500 for coola's browsing (I bet he didnt use up to 30mb!); no billing for amby... Talk of disorganised and haphazard billing. And some people thought Glo's billing was uncomfortable.

All my browsing, so far, on my phone this morning has not been billed. Infact my credit increased by 1 buck! They must still be testing.
If MTN CC was free I would have called and demanded a refund of my N500! But...
Someone just told me that Glo is planning FREE WAP at night! Talk about timely Good News!
