I will also buy the new PS4 soon when available and one time the new flaggshipp Bravia X9 65", just a dream design. It will replace my 52" EX1.

@king-james - i know you have a lot of phones. and that's great. but that doesn't mean your perspectives and opinion reflect that of the majority the things you point out are very peculiar. only thing i could agree with is the power button could be better sized. but the headphone jack ring? how does it stick out when it's FLUSH with the top surface? how is it sharper than the Z when the Z1 has more rounded edges? i also can't believe that Z1 is lagging for you, but it is what it is. to each their own as they say
@all - i noticed the other day the bottom speaker grill isn't entirely a speaker! if the screen is facing UP, the speaker is only on the right side of the grill. i suppose the left side is for the microphone. try blocking just the left side and the speaker is fine, but if you block the right, audio is muffled. would have been nice if they had stuck a larger speaker under there that took up the whole grill space

@moogoo
Yes, speaker is on right side... Why no stereo speakers? On top and bottom?
To ME:
The problem is, I find any little critic thing. I just notice too much very fast. The screen quality looks really different. Z1 has more natural colours and looks very fine, but as I said the colours on Z look stronger/more vivid. What are you talking about round glass? Both on front same flat, not round, just sides are rounded on the Z1. The Z1 has same foil like Z Ultra, less fingerprints than Z. Thats good, but you see faster and u get easier scratches. But touch feels better.

Hope Sony release some exclusive content for Xperia devices when the PS4 launches I would love second screening just like the PS Vita and second that with the ability to pair up a dual shock controller then that would be epic beyond all proportions.
Just one thing do the Z, Z1, Z Ultra and Tablet Z have the power to cope with second screening ? Not to clued up on that kind of thing.

@king-james - only phone with stereo speakers is HTC one and while it does sound better, it's not THAT much of a difference. having stereo sound on such a small device with such relatively small speakers is pretty pointless really.
the shatterproof film (what i think you're calling the foil) is a pain as it is a finger print magnet and it does scratch easily. but knowing this, i put a screen protector over it and am perfectly fine with the result and i get to keep the sony logo (yet another fail but nothing major). and i was talking about the metal frame being more rounded than the Z, making it more comfy in the hand.
@bono - i've got fifa 13 on my PC.. if you're on origin, we should play each other (i think we can.. not sure).

@moogoo
yes, you feel that it's confortable, but you will first notice the device is bigger and heavier... If same size with rounded corners, then you would say it's smaller...

Surely the Xperia Z1 has the power to do second screening when compared unless there is something else the PS Vita has that the Z1 doesn't

@king-james - a few grams isn't a big deal to me. in fact i kinda prefer the heavier feel. seems more solid and premium it is a bit bigger than it probably could be for a 5" screen, but it's still quite comfortable for me and i wouldn't say i have huge hands or anything.
like i said, to each their own.
@xperiajunkie - who knows. it could be a feature that may be pushed to the Z1 some day. but vita runs sony's own OS whereas Z1 is android. perhaps it's not a matter of processing power, but OS compatibility in order to make it work and work well. could also just be a strategy to hopefully increase sales of the vita

Never gave the OS a thought to be honest. If it was to come to Z1 and future Xperia devices then PlayStation Mobile will step up to the level it needs to be at as at the minute it isn't that great plus it will have a massive pull on customers who have a PS4 and are ready for an upgrade from their iPhone, Samsung, HTC and more it could be the deal clincher for many potential customers.

Can anyone tell me how to root Z1 without unlock boatloader? Also, how to move apps from phone memory to SD card on Z1? Thanks |

surely xperiajunkie - but we all know sony sometimes can't get their heads out from their asses and realize that what they've created, while great in its own way, isn't what the world wants or just isn't as great as they think it is. they've stuck to their guns to their own detriment many times in the past. you'd think they'd learn.. in a way they have as they are great about adopting standards now.. but they still have a lot more to learn, i think.
caff - think randomuser linked something to you on previous pages. as for moving to SD, that feature has been removed from android and i think the only way to do it now is with a 3rd party app. doing so, mind you, can and does effect many apps and widgets.

wish games and those GPS would let you install data on SD cards. Maps are the one taking up most of the storage on my z1. |
