I bought a cheap MHL 1.1 adaptor and it says insufficient power on the z1, though TV out does work, so I assuming it need something higher than 1.1. I tried my samsung s3 mhl adaptor, nothing happen. I think someone told me before the S3 mhl adaptor is customize to work only for S3, so its like property stuffs. Not confirmed though.
Oh. I'm now ready to close a deal to buy the like of Samsung gs3's MHL adaptor, but wait. I think there is a charger connector on the adaptor itself to sufficiently supply a charge while connected to MHL.
Anyone here tried the MHL 2.0 adaptor? |

impressive pics from the Z1 holding its own. thought i'm not super convinced the canon can only produce such quality photos in raw. something seems fishy.. i would expect much, much better photos.

It all depends on what you do with the RAW data. If you know what to do you can do impressive things with RAW from any camera, of course if the lens is not good quality or is not properly focused then no RAW will help you.
Good to see Z1 achieving good quality pictures, hopefully that January camera update is going to be released as rumored. |

ooh.. 1080p at 60fps .. well that'll be nice. though they should have just shoved that into the initial release just to prevent people from bitching about it. good to see it's coming though.
i'm more interested in the still photo features that may or may not be arriving with the 4.3 update. so is the 4.3 update the same as the rumored big camera january update? timing is clearly different, but since they are so close, could it turn out to be one and the same? i hope so!

On thing Sony should/need to update is the resolution of the stills while recording a video 1MP just won't cut it on a flagship and it is a feature I use often but get let down buy the poor image quality. It does'nt need to be 20.7MP quality even 5MP would do. If Samsung and HTC can do it then surely Sony can with the Z1.
I'm so happy 'cause today I've found my friends ... They're in my head

Does anybody have heat problem with the Z1? My Z1 was burning last night, had over 47°C, with min. brightness, was just watching youtube clips over WiFi. Then I have decided to turn the phone in standby that it can take breath... Also in normal using I've noticed its always too warmer/hoter than the Z, about + 5 till 8 °C more in same situation... WHY???
