New K800 & K810 firmware the same! Photofix and TrackID not incl in K800 firmware though. I'm staying with K810 firmware on my K800 (after having tested both firmwares).

I need help. If i flash my phone with a vodafone firmware, will it have the simlock again ????????? |

Why every time when I start the phone,it need to format the Memory Stick...!?
I mean with the newest firmware for K800i-R8BA024....
Is it bug & how I can repear it...?

I've upgrade my firmware to K800_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52 & K800_R8BA024_FS_APAC_RED52 using xs++. Here is what I found so far.
1. In previous firmware R1KG001, if I put SIM card that I've been put in before, the phone will never ask for the setting wizard. But not this new R8BA024, it always ask for setting wizard. You see, I have 3 SIM card, and I swap it at least once a day. It's a kind annoying.
3. Actifity menu is OK. But if you organize it, like sorting, you'll find a tiny lag.
4. Saving photo with timestamp took about 5 sec to save in phone memory, and about 10 to 15 sec to save in M2. I think it's because the M2. I use Sony 512 mb M2 before and never get this timestamp problem. Now I use Sandisk 1 G M2 I always get this timestamp problem no matter what firmware I use (But I could be wrong, I wish somebody can confirm about this).
5. Every time I turn on my phone, it always ask me to format my M2. It never happen in R1KG001. Maybe it's because I have formated my M2 in FAT32 with computer. So I backup my M2 to my comp, then I format it with my phone, then I put back the backup to M2... problem solved...
6. When I listen to a song from media player with handsfree, then I play tennis, the media player stops. I found it too in R1KG001 but not in R1GB001.
7. Watching video with video player is OK. the backlight is off after 1 video, then back on again within the next video. Unlike R1KG001 you have to push a button to activate backlight again. And there's something about the video, the picture is more sharp.
So far so good, thats all what I've found.

I don't know about that but they say there are improvement in sound and camera inside MAIN firmware (Also JAVA). But I haven't try it yet, and I've just update via SEUS. Now it is R1KG001 again...

Well they said it must be 20+ usefull message. Not really sure what they mean by usefull. I have close to 30 message but last time I check I still can't download. Anyway, I have downloaded R8BA APAC from somewhere else anyway. |
