Hi guys
Long time since i posted...
Got a pc troublein my vista. HELP!
Last night i put a 6 in 1 movie dvd (chinese) in my pc and copied the movies..
2nd movie did not come through ; since then, i get a message in a mini window :
Windows EXPLORER has encountered a problem and tries to identify..after 10-15 sec it says windows explorer restarting.. And the desktop refreshes itself and this cycle goes on and on.
Tried restarting, system restore but to no use.
HELP.

First of all, does this error come on start up?
Also, did u copy using explorer or some software? To copy a dvd the #1 software to use is dvd decrypter...
Just remembered, I had this problem with a laptop last month with vista. I couldn't fix it, but by creating a new account on the pc I was able to start vista again...
To create a new account, press ctrl+alt+delete and start task manager. Click file and select new task, on the left pane there should be an option for control panel and via that link you can get to the account manager and create a new account...

I get the message as soon as the desktop comes up.
Those message come up and then desktop refreshes and this thing goes on and on.
Never had problem while copying movies from dvds before.
Hate vista

@blu, i did as toold in that link but, on running explorer.exe, i get the same error.
And i dont see 'file' after getting to task manager.
Thinking of going to IT deptt of my hospital

Gave my laptop to it deptt..they say i have done whatever they could so now they will trying to save my data (thesis work - which i already have a copy of) and do system recovery.

@thug the file menu in task manager was what I was talking about. hope u took a backup...
