The other day the Broadcasting Complaints Commission ruled against them for airing those ads after 10pm when they should've been aired after 11pm.
An acquiantance who used to work at e.tv said profit is the only motif at the station...Do you know how many bucks they make screening late-night porn? Gazillions, apparently the movies takes the lions share of ratings at that time of night.
BTW, just downloaded King Kong...nice game and I'm looking forward to the movie next month.

That's one movie i'm definitely going to see as well. The special effects that were shown in the trailer are awesome!

Did you guys ever get to see Lord of War,starring Nicholas Cage?
An interesting tale, apparently based on true events, about the world of gun-running/military hardware/weapons trafficking.
Not that we're into any form of war-mongering,but the whole expose' of covert dealings that go on and the motives that are behind these is indeed food for thought...although many of us knew about how confiscated drug and arms money is used to fund many other clandestine operations within certain governments and regimes... |

@da wanqsta: Lord of War hasn't been released in Emzansi yet, it was actually shot on location in Cape Town last year.
I'm not a great fan of Nicholas Cage but will check it out when it opens here.
@da krypsta: Graphics for King Kong are smoother then for instance other titles from Gameloft.
30 minutes ago I got off the phone to PR-poppie working for Motorola and they invited me to the launch of the Pink Rzr. Why couldn't they just release the Baby Phat version in SA?

RWC is not quite like the Fifa World Cup...not too many people were shedding tears.
Apparently the country could've made R7 billion if we hosted the tournament.

Granted, but that obviously would've still been a very healthy financial injection, not to mention a lot of exposure for SA.
Had to scrape the ice off the windshield of the car this morning before I could contemplate driving off to work.Winter is well and truly here.
Need to keep an eye on the wife's J300's battery performance;late last night there were 2 bars, this morning the low battery warning was bleeping away already.Need to check gsmarena to check info re standby battery life. |

Hi Guys and Gals
I am due for an upgrade pretty soon and was wondering where and how I could sell my P800 with all it's original packaging and loads of extra software etc. (still in really good condition).
My upgrade allows me to get a Moto RAZR V3 with a shopping voucher which is always helpful before XMas but I really want the W800i
decisions decisions...
Thanks in advance

2000 smackers... Just decided I am going to be more frustrated with a sh!tty phone so I am rather just going to get my W800i with a free bluetooth headset
Still looking for a place where I could sell the P800, otherwise it is going to the back of the cupboard. |

@Super: I know the phone was ridiculously expensive when it launched three years ago but you could sell it for something like R1000...Get the V3 upgrade( don't open it), sell it for R1800 sans starter pack, keep the shopping vouchers (which shop?) and use the money from the shopping voucher to get yourself a new W800i and you'd still have about R1000 left to spare.
Latest price I saw for the W800i is about R3400. |
