Yes, your right about that. When I first starting reading this thread it all semmed so easy. I'd rather have a phone with all the Vodaphone crap that worked than one that doesn't.

dudes just use 13.4 davinci forget about CDA102338/38 R6A since that one was used mostly because seus for a while just accepted that one as being unlocked unbranded and for the past week generic ones work as well. since i see from your posts that youre not well versed in flashing the phone just thinking latest version simpler for you to use.
loftus just few quick answers to your questions at least those i remember: using davinci for k750 all you need to do is YES put the credit info first like name and number , then download the main and the language file using the client since on ftp some files are mixed up(example emea_4 for r1l for k750 is prolly for k700 since its cid29 and not cid36. then select files in their respective boxes and select cid that corresponds to the fs file u are flashing example if your fs file eu2 drop the cid window and select eu2 generic cid number and yes it should let you use seus in the future. click fiNALISE since that is the mayor reason programs like this cannot be cracked because in this part finalisation is done by connecting to seus or emma and davinci pays for access to their servers. so no credit means no finalisation and no phone lol. before flashing check if the server is online and if it is click flash. other thon difference between emea and eu has been mentioned several times in the posts before so read up next time but here it goes:
difference being preinstalled languages for the phone and or some little differences in features like muting the sound when taking a pics etc. for more details read pages before. then decide which fs firmware u want based on the language packs. lol for english no worries man since its in every one of them. hope this helps!

Great, thanks. Now just need to buck up the courage to actually flash the phone. Still worried that I'll bugger it up.

You can not kill a phone by flashing it. You can recover the phone.

Thanks for that, its starting to make a bit more sense - I'm getting too old for all this technology!

I'm not at home so don't have access to the new client I downloaded but from memory do I have this about right.

I enter my username and password.
Check the server is ok.
I download the flasher files

- I picked EU_2 from the list and assume that the two sets of files (FS and something else) that it fills in the boses are ok and that the generic EMEA file in the CDA box is ok as well

- I tick all 3 boxes and press flash.

Am I going in the right direction?

Again thanks everyone for the patience and help.

Yup. Now go and get a cup of coffee, and wait till it's done. I have flashed a few times and it was easier the first time but now, you just have to read what you are doing. You will be fine.

if u using older davinci 13.3 u need to manually type the cda numbers
that correspond to that firmware not sure what generic for eu2 is but u can look it up in previous posts and links in this thread and if u do that manually make sure u check to apply those numbers on cda page during finalization. using newer client makes it simpler since cda generics are already on the pulldown window on same page as flashing therefore u just select eu2 and it will give cda for eu2 and automatically apply it.
btw why dont you just download client from the davinci page???
dont tell me u dont have access to the net where u are planning to flash the phone since u wont be able to finalize. shit all this is in davinci video manual for the regular client. anyways hope u "get this" and it works out for you.

I have downloaded the latest Davinci client. What I didn't realise you had to do was get the flasher files! Thats where my problems started. Then I got concerned because the generic UK CDA file mentioned many times in the thread was not on the list.
I'm just a worrier.

What does CID36 really mean?
I got a message from DaVinici logger that:
You must use CID36 Flash Files For this phone!
How to recognize when flash is CID36?

i am very confused with that davinci software, i can download the flash files for free, so i also can flash them for free, or what does this thing do? very confusing... or do they just destroy my phone for fun because i was experimenting something?

You can download for free, and flash for free, but to finalize the flashing process you pay money. So, nothing if for free.

Well, much to my and everybody elses relief I guess, I have successfully flashed my phone - much better now, thanks to all for advice and patience.

One last question (there had to be one) I used the following files - are they going to cause me any problems or are they ok ok:-

MAIN - K750i_R1L002_MAIN_EU_EMEA.DVT

FS - K750i_R1L002_FS_EU2.DVT

CDA102337/1 - EMEA1

Thanks again

Not sure. What language are you looking for? There is a post in this thread that lists the languages and the EU designation. Look back a few pages.
