The main page should be updated.

These are some of the chagnges that i found.

The menu is very fast. Especially the games menu.
The auto focus sound now make a different sound.
MP3 root folder on memory stick.
When turing on silent mode, by pressing the hash key, the silent logo now also shows a text which says "Silent Mode on". I don't think this used to be there before.

Will post new thing as i discover them. [addsig]

Just updated mine, it took about 10 minutes and everything i have installed remained on the phone.

Tbh, i cant tell much difference between the phone now and what it was like before since i had very few problems.

However, the menu icons do seem to animate slightly faster and smoother - i just wished they'd fixed the contrast.

No problems with my WAP or MMS, and my phone is an O2 one...

Not had any standby crashes, although i didn't have any the first time round. Phone seems a little quicker through the menus and using pictures. Gifs still play a bit slower though

The update was not successful. I renamed the files before triggering the update but the update stopped at 48%. Reverted the firmware by replacing the original files.

But i think it was worth a try...

Edit: here is the returned error, maybe someone might understand what went wrong...

Well. i've tried a second update to no avail - my GPRS is officially 'dead', keep getting 'check your settings' 'coverage/comms error'.

Really regreting this update now.

They didn't fix the mask on the gprs icon above the reception bar. If you have a dark theme and lose gprs reception, then you will see that the background of the gprs triangle is white (since the mask is wrong).

It should be an easy fix and it's annoying they didn't do it. I'm in an area where I often loose gprs reception, and it looks bad with that white triangle...
