msi usb bluetooth key (MS-6967) |

(@bugone:) Does this driver work with the MS-6967 as well, or is it just for the Tecom products? I too had the non-drag&drop version WinKy mentioned, so uninstalled it and tried to install the version you linked to (which downloaded just fine from my T3 connection . The install went fine apart from one or two strange messages in a DOS box. But after the installation had completed and restarted the computer, the Windows message about a new device having been found popped up and I am unable to provide it with a driver. Selecting 'have disk' and pointing it (Windows XP SP1) towards the btwusb.inf file included in the file you linked to merely results in the error message 'there were no drivers in the location given' (or similar).
Any help gratefully received! |

Version 16 from the Tecom site is not a drag and drop version as this should work fine on earlier versions. You may want to try copy and paste in the inbox instead though as this works for me.
The version 16 (which incidentally is Widcom software for the MS-6967 key and nothing to do Tecom as far as I can make out) is for OBEX push which enables phone to pc transfer.
You can use earlier drivers for the usb key itself. Just point to the place you did when you installed the last version software.
I have more tips regarding phone to pc here:

Is it me or does Bug one posts make the screen expand and not fit properly?

the software package 1.2.2.16 should work with all of them but the drivers it contains may not. I suggest using the drivers off the original CD or extracting them from an MSI package. When looking for drivers to install windows will want an inf file that contains the Device Id and manufaterer Id found in the hardware. The drivers in the package from Tecom only contain the IDs for the Tecom adaptor.

@ EdWo:
No worries about the duplicate info. Infact you have cleared up what I wasn't sure about with the Tecom version 16 software. It makes sense now why there is no .inf file for the MSI key. Of course it is because it's for the Tecom key.
I think we will soon know how to write a book on this matter covering all the problems.
How about a book titled:
'1001 ways to not getting your MSI key working properly before you do whilst head butting your monitor' ? |

I think I'm having the same problems as Bug One, but WORSE
I installed the Tecom drivers the way he did (ie installing the software then going into device manager and manually installing the driver from the CD)
Now the inbox thing works (along with Mobilet), but FMA doesnt! (It cant connect) and, I still can't send pics from the Phone -> PC
I press "send via Bluetooth" on my phone, then it says "Searching" then it finds my computer. I select it and it then says "Connecting"..then it says "sending" for like a split second, then I get the "Transfer failed. Please Retry" dialog box.
ARGGGG maybe I should've got a serial cable instead

I have a t39 and a msi bluetooth key. I want to synchrosize with outlook. It does not work, i only can send 1 calender item a time.
I already spent almost 2 days of installing reading this forum etc. and i am losing my patience........i hope somebody can help me, so this is what i did:
I installed the sofware:
- downloaden newest driver from msi site.
installed
- installed newest version of communicationsuitsSuitePatch R3ao2
How do i have to configure the com ports? I really don't understand how i have to configure it. I tried everything.
With ericsson phone settigns, i can change com ports, do you have to reserve?
I succesfully paired my phone and computer.
But what do i have to do to synchrosize with outlook(through xtnd-connect)calender items and contacts. I used infrared before and that worked really fine. |

@germs
you need to specify a particular com port to use in the Mobile Phone Monitor for bluetooth connections.
And R4A is the latest software version. |

Mobile Phone Monitor for bluetooth connections=ericssons phone settings?
I found Mobile Phone Monitor on the sonyericsson site but it says it is only compatible with a t68, is that correct?
I can not find R4A, on te sonyericsson site, or do you mean the software for the t68? |

go to control panel > phone monitor options. click on the com ports tab and enable the ports that your bluetooth connection uses.
check out arnoldc's sticky post in the software forum for the direct downloads from the website.
Version R4A works just fine for the T39. |
