Hi all, first of all I don't want to build anyone's hopes up but my wife sells mobile phone cases and accessories online via Ebay. She gets them imported from China and every now and again she gets a news letter about products she might be interested in. I've just seen she has this e-mail regarding cases for the Z4 Compact, as you can see they are for an Xperia device as you can just make out where the power button would be plus the position of the camera/flash cut out. The main thing that interest me is at the bottom it looks like an open micro USB port rather than a port flap and since a rumor going around that Sony will do away with these kind of adds to the rumors. I also can't think of any current Xperia device that has the charging port at the bottom. If anyone can shed any light on this it would be great.
PS everything she has bought so far has been sent as described so the credibility I think is fairly high.

A new compact is announced at mwc after half a year AND with xenon flash? sounds a bit far fetched... but who knows... maybe sony is trying to differentiate themselves as much as they can in order to stay alive? if that is real then a new ultra companion is a sensible prediction. all in all, hard to believe, especially when hiyu and miku' said that such devices are not prepared for q1/first half, plus, there is only z4 leaks that can be called reliable. let's wait and see.

I want immediate release after announcement. At least don't make us wait two or more months before the first batch appears. Make it available to the American market too.
I don't want to get my phones via T-mobile just to get the 32GB version.
@XperiaJunkie is it your wife you are referring to or just quoting someone? If yours, could you tell whether the Xperia Z4 Compact retains its size or not?

@amirprog I don't think it will have a xenon flash but that cut out opposite the camera does look like one.
@McKinley Yes I'm referring to my wife and I have no idea on the dimentions or screen size of the phone sorry, I just posted the image to see what others thought.

Mate, that cut out can only be made for a xenon flash.  "sony" and "xperia" logos are forever made horizontally. i can't think of anything other then such for that cut out. also, the positioning of the opening makes sense as the bottom bezel would make space for a xenon flash module. the bottom ip68 usb port goes well with the recent eprice z4 leaks and a new compact companion would have that basic feature for sure.

wow, top and bottom bezel got shrink down too. Great! Now i wait for Z5 Ultra with the same treatment. |

@amirprog I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. By the way the 2 different screen protectors from yourself and nodar show a phone with the headphone jack in the top right of the phone rather than on top, could this be the Z4 Ultra? It's headphone jack was is the same position if I'm correct.

I concur with Nikolas opinion. The cut-out looks like it's reserved for the speaker which would be a pity. |

Why would there be a cutout for both a normal led flash and xenon? But what else could it be? Going back to the rumours of sony killing off the compact camera business could mean xenon on the z4. Although it might just be an extra larger LED and not xenon flash. Whatever it is, hopefully this means the camera team from sony imaging did a lot more work on the camera software this time around. |

That pictures are just placeholders. Case makers always get the dimensions of a new phone a few month before announcement, so that accessories are ready by the time the device is released. From looking at the screen protectors you can say fur sure that the Z4 will have front speakers, nothing more. |

@amirprog Why 3 speakers dude? The case is for the Z4 Compact which would mean no front-speakers for Z4C. The screen protector is for the Z4 which according to that picture will indeed have front-speakers. |
