Something I would want to know is whether it was recorded in 4k or not?
My Galaxy Note 3 doesn't do 4k with image stabilization on. The option is only enabled in Full HD recording.

new xperia z sample photos
the food shot which used to be noisy in the z1 now looks cleaner with the z2.

i really like what i'm seeing. the photos look like they're using samsung's processing algorithm.

this ISO 640 shot does not look very noisy. really an upgrade from z and z1. if it's z1, the chinese character will no longer be perceivable and there will be a lot of artifacts.

Sensoji Temple case to make a wish, we will definitely see a photo that was taken in sunny conditions it! In fact, the scene is quite dark environment, moderators have no exposure compensation, but also quite a lot of details to keep in the case of ISO 640, we get that piece of textured statues in front of it? ISO has not yet appeared in the "painting of" really a lot of progress compared to the previous generation
(Shooting parameters: 1/40 shutter, aperture f/2.0, ISO 640)

Definetely yes... i do not remember where, but I saw a video where a Sony employee said that the Steadyshot also works during the 4K video and that it is really important because if it didn't work then, when seeing a 4K video, zooming in would look completely smudgy... and this is not the case...

@amirprog
You are absolutely right mate

A video for the Z2 launch in south asia... it shows some bits of Z2, T2 ultra and models most interesting thing is that at minute 2, more or les, you can clearly see that the Z2 works with pencils

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjwizAF1fl4
Another Z2 video sample, 1080p, nothing special.. it seems a good video

@miromiromi
Well this shots are way better than the previous ones! IMHO
The only problem with the previous seemed a focus issue, which here is not present! This shots are great! There's a lot of details on cars (even the carplate) and buildings... It still seems to struggle a bit with foliage and trees (see trees and cherry tree over the rooftop, they are blurred and noisy, especially when distant)... But this shots are really greats :3
Great colours and details!
I WANT THIS PHONEEEE!

The fact that those are full res 20.7 MP photos yet the noise has been reduced significantly is a really big improvement over the Z1. No need for downscaling to 8 MP.

Directly from XPERIABLOG...
http://www.xperiablog.net/201[....]elay-but-expect-limited-stock/

Finally some official words from Sony! NO DELAY... But SHORTAGES are coming! The Z2 wasn't expected to be so successfull!
"We confirmed with Sony’s UK PR team earlier today that the Xperia Z2 will not see a delay. The handset will arrive as expected in early April 2014. See the statement below:

“We’re seeing particularly strong demand for Xperia Z2 across all of our distribution channels. As with all of our product launches, global rollout is phased across markets and channels. Consumers will be able to get Xperia Z2 in the UK starting from April.”

However, that doesn’t tell the full story. The removal of Xperia Z2 pre-orders due to “strong demand” is very likely but it also highlights the limited stock Sony will have at launch. This is also probably the reason why the Hong Kong launch was put back.

Let’s make this simple, removing the Xperia Z2 for pre-order is not good news for Sony whichever way you look at it. Sony needs to strike while the iron is hot and sell as many Xperia Z2’s as it can in its fight against the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Sony Mobile France says the Xperia Z2 is a “victim of its own success”. There’s no denying that the Xperia Z2 is probably one of the most sought after Xperia handsets in years, let’s just hope that it can ramp up production to meet the strong demand.

@reyaskcin Due to current stock levels, the Estore are currently not taking any more pre-orders at this moment in time.

Le Xperia Z2 est victime de son succès : les précommandes sont temporairement en pause. On vous tient au courant, merci pour cet accueil !

Thanks Francois and Matt!"

damn, I'm disappointed in this camera, especially after seeing the latest pictures. Well, looks like it won't be my next phone, waiting for the new HTC.

Beacause obviously the "all new HTC ONE" will shot photos with superb details thanks to his 4 Ultrapixel camera! YAY
Oh wait! I forgot that it will have a dual camera for night shots... THIS will change everything!

seriously? i'm actually impressed in them. those were not even the compressed 8MP versions. the 8MP versions are generally crisper, clearer, and brighter.

i'm not sure if we're looking at the same photos.

as far as the leaks go, htc will not be using the tech introduced by that company that allied with qualcomm to come up with a dual lens camera (using 2 sony 13 MP sensors). they'll only be using something from toshiba.

i'm not sure if the toshiba dual lens camera will work great. as leaked, they're only meant for refocusing and the simultaneous taking of photos for hdr to avoid the blur or misalignment.
