@Funkadopest They're probably just different model for different regions. Looks like you're in the same boat as me. Also have a grandfather plan, but I'm with T-Mobile. Guess this is where I lucked out, all models work with T-Mobile's HSPA+ and LTE unlike how the Z/ZL was. I can always import one without any problems in the case they won't release a LTE model in the US or takes months later to release it. Heck, if your area has no problem with T-Mobile, I highly recommend you to try it out. LTE speed is awesome and plan is inexpensive.

Not switching carrier, would never get what I pay now and unlimited, I prefer unlocked but I don't mind a carrier one (except for those damn external branding) since the carrier firmware only last from the store to my house where the phone get immediately rooted and switched to a generic firmware (bye bye bloat) + I end up with free tethering

Yeah, I can't stand carrier versions. It just ruin the complete aesthetic of the phone and personally think it reeks of cheapness. Getting down to the technical end, all those bloats and delayed updates annoys me. Funny thing about flashing my phones, haven't done it since my Nexus 4, guess I never had a need to do it. Where as before, I was doing it all the time, trying out custom roms every few weeks or so, and overclocking my phone. Though T-Mobile does offer true unlimited, both my friend and I use well over 40gb per month. Mind if I ask how much you pay now for ATT?

Its brilliant. I always laugh at my friend when they use powerbank for their smartphone and I tell them, if you have to carry a powerbank all the time, better ditch your phone. I never use a powerbank and the setting for my xperia is always ON (GPS, Bluetooth, wifi/3G,...)

Do you know what is the difference between the C6903 and the C6943, they both show the same bands?!?

C6903
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20)

C6943
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20)

I don't see the point of those 2 phones (unless I'm missing something somewhere), at least add the LTE 17 band in one of those and make a world LTE phone

And then you have the NA version...too many version with a + or - band, just make one phone with all the LTE bands and one HSPA+ only why bother with the rest
C6906
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17)

And from one of your previous post, looks like it's gonna be impossible to get an unlocked C6906 here the US again, I wanted to get a Z but came out here too late and locked on a carrier, I have a grandfather unlimited plan with AT&T (was able to keep mine when I got the X10 back in the days for an extra $5 a month) so switching carrier is not an option, I have an Xperia Ion now, so getting a none LTE phone is not an option either (you get used to those speed )
I've been trying to give Sony some money but they don't want to take it

I dont know why you think its impossible to get a C6906 in the US, I plan on getting one, should be no issue. I dont know why this couldnt be 64GB.. anyway it should be available in the next 2/3 weeks.

@random
Z1 looks brighter than ultra. I wonder how it would look if it has the same brightness as ultra. Z1 looks better head on IMO but viewing angles Ultra takes the cake

If T-Mobile decides to offer the Z1 as an exclusive, then it will be impossible if you prefer nonbranded/unlock version of it. Like you said really wish the internal storage was a lot bigger.

The thing about the Z is that SONY USA is only selling the C6602 unlocked. If you want LTE, which is the C6606, you're forced to go with T-Mobile to get it.

Check these pics in particular

Luminance noise isn't as distracting as the one we saw previously, TBH it's alot better this time
