Etaab yeah old tech seems outdated today but those old
Dinosaurs still have something of which the newer phones
Didn't
Lol I found my old psp (very first model)
Surprised still worked cos I hadn't bothered with
It in years after a quick mess about and full charge
I couldn't help thinking how terrible the screen was on it
Compared to my iPhone, also it would not connect to my
Wifi (my router must be to advanced for it) lol
I heard Nokia and Apple were in the news with this:
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-21194396
Interesting amount of iPhone sales there.
Nokia should look at doing android handsets so they might
Be up against the 2 main manufacturers
@ DSF.
I think that wifi issue is a long term problem
Apple launched 6.02 update for iP5 but a lot of
People say its not fixed much
Only way to get ur wifi problem dealt with is a replacement
From apple which u have done if ur still not happy take it back
Again but make sure it works in store before u leave
Something I forgot to do with my other 4S
As I had a greyed out wifi connection lol

@Tzeps i've read thats a problem with ios6..
@Miss UK the wifi is working on the replecement but i find the signal weaker than my galaxy s2. Heck, from this position i cannot see the second router while I can connect with the s2 even if it works badly due poor signal .
I've already updated to ios 6.02 and i think i got a lil better wofi signal, at least speed.
Anyway, what I like in comparison to android 4.1 jelly bean on my s2:
- battery. 4h and 17min of usage and still got 28%. On s2 with extended 2000mah oem battery i hardly get up to 4h. I know, it has to do with amoled screen in my case but in general android has a problem with battery life.
- the way how apps are resumed. It's a lot faster than on android.
- better memory management. On android apps get constantly closed and reloaded when switching to 2-3 apps and coming back. Very annoying when you have many tabs opened in browser
- animations seem that runs at higher fps resulting a smooter experience
I still need to test, but I'm already missing some apps from android (eg: google analytics official app). Plus when i look on a movie the screen look washed on iphone 5 while on s2 colors are vivid and pleasant to watch kudos to amoled
Edit: the battery hold on ~ 6 hour and 40 minutes. Let's see how it performs after a few charge-discharge cycles

So frustrated with Android! I don't understand why ... its not much more complex that S60 FP2/3 days ... I guess I'm just so used to BB/iOS over the past 2/3yrs.
I'm forcing myself with Optimus G for another 4wks more.
nova launcher does help but every damn thread on XDA to root or to load CM 10.1 on this just FAILS even though I've followed it to the letter and followed ALL advice as a "smart newb" (very rare) on the ICQ like channels nobody has a solid resolution (even on 2 different fresh Win7 Enterprise/Pro installed PCs).
I think I maybe back to iOS but in IP5 or BB10 which I'll check out on Tuesday next week.

andorid's UX is messy... the only one I would consider is the vanilla one from google. The OEM's just make it way worse than it already is. |

WRT Having to type PW in App Store, it makes you do that for every 1st app you download when you visit App Store, its so annoying, thats what ive experienced with my iPad.
I forgot. I've seen this issue also on iPhone 4 with iOS 5.x.. Really annoying.
Updated to 6.1. I've expected some changes in wifi signal... but still weaker than Galaxy SII .

@Miss UK the wifi is not defective as in the replaced phone. Just noticed that I get better wifi signal (and speed) on galaxy s2. With the first iphone 5 I couldn't even see the router from the actual position.
Btw, ios 6.x can be jailbreaked.

Knowing Vodafone that'll be simply to stop them receiving so many returns. Vodafone dont like returns. Not one bit.
Trust me, ive tried and they're impossible to deal with.

Thats Good then
I don't think Jailbreaking iPhones is worth the hassle btw
looking at the AppStore theres alot of free apps and stuff anyway
I guess its only good for unlocking but if you update after doing so u mess up

Actually it worth jailbreaking. It makes the OS so much enjoyable.
It extends the functionability.. There are many nice tweaks, a big plus for those that are get used to Android.
To mention some tweaks that are essential for me: Accelerate, Auxo, NCSettings, Activate, Copic, f.lux, Springtomize, Safari Download Manager, Bridge, Zephyr, QuickNote, etc.

I Jailbroke my old iPhone 4 but the freeness of apps and stuff
wasn't a must.
I just like how the phone is in its fashionable state
I already use everything on it Day in/ Day out
I really don't miss Android either the iPhone is my perfect "British cup of tea"

This is the main reason I have always gone back to iPhone after trying an Android.
