Hmm. Thanks!
But again many reviews point out that it's a great screen....
Look at the pictures and judge for yourself. I'm a big fan of Sony, but I'm trying to be objective and unbiased, I'm showing only the reality: The Screen on Xperia T is disappointing.
I have a xperia S and Xperia T, i see differnd that T has a bigger screen and also bright and a little bit les than Xperia S but more contrast in my opinion.
Very strange what you have post.
Thanks....

Are you sure? Check this video from IFA (0:38, look at the specification sheet, it clearly states Opticontast panel)

Also TX has it (02:25 min):

Was something changed?
Cheers,

Full Brightness, 100% on both:
(Left ION - Right Xperia T)
Opticontrast, like Bravia Engine or whatever else are just a gimmick.

Those above shots are bull..shit.
Sorry mate but the angles make the screen look strange.
You won't convince me that the XT screen shows blue instead of Brown
like the photo nr 9.
You have a proto or something, don't troll here.

Screen looks same as on Eldar proto on MR.
This is pretty strange cause screens on later samples looks much better. Or only on China samples

I downloaded the Xperia T system dump from here, extracted all the relevant Google Apps and other apps I wanted like facebook integration packages (I took 22 in total) then pushed them to my TX and installed them.

I have a question - what's the difference between W910's ( for example ) and new Xperia's screens? When I compare them both, the first thing to notice is that my W910's screen has much deeper and vivid colors ( the black color looks exactly like SAmoled one, while my Xperia Pro's black is more like a mix between dark grey and dark blue ). The second thing - viewing angles. The colors of the W910 stay absolutely the same, no matter how you look at the screen. While the Pro distorts the color even at slight move. Why?

thejosetree thanks for the pics! T looking horrible... I really can't believe it, but I have read also some reviews about the bad screen of the T. Bad viewing angles and contrast. Exactly what you show us here... |

I'll get a couple comparison shots of my Arc, TX, C905 &whatever else I can find older and newer. I got to go out right now though, be back in a few hours.
Back:
Maybe this isn't a great test but here's My new TX next to Arc, full brightness from 4 different gradients. It's quite clear to see TX's screen is immense compared to Arc's in viewing angles, even in my amateurish shots.
In practice, the screen is fantastic. It is the best screen I've had personally to use, but then again I've been on Sony's for a long time. It's clear, bright enough, colours are vibrant and the colours don't stay 100% true at tight angles, lights get lighter and darks get darker, but the base of the colour remains. No colour inversion that you get on Arc. Black text on white background looks perfect from the tightest of angles (and so does white on black). Maybe I'll do an almost 90 degree shot of text on the screen later.
