as far as i can tell from these sneak peeks, there's no difference between S and Ion except for size. That being said, I'd go for S because I enjoy one handed use and i don't have a giant thumb.
So.. since ION is AT&T/US exclusive, does that mean S will not be released for the US market? That would suck.

S and Ion are looking pretty good. Now they should announce a mid-range Walkman with a good camera and build materials with 3.5 - 3.7" screen size
