My Captivate has been great thus far. Using it since January. I have taken some great photos as well. I may go for Neo in July.

I think the macro's it makes are gorgeous. The other pic is a bit moved, but quite good despite that imo
The Macro is really pretty good, but I wonder in your second shot if you left the camera set on macro? It lacks sharpness.
I really like the focus-lock : does it also do a spot exposure?
hate the shutter release: the silicone cover I got has a button extension which makes it operate better.
With many shots I find I need to increase contrast and reduce or increase brightness and saturation to get better images to use on FBk etc. Otherwise they are often lack lustre.
Is there an App' or newer camera version which allows you to force flash on? ie fill-in-flash?[
Also- my ovver-harf is getting an Aino from her indoors, is the Aino pretty trick when it comes to photos?

Hi everyone... nice shots, really....
I was wondering if any of you are using the stock camera mod from xda.
It is already on version 10, so it should be stable, however, I'd like to know your impressions on it.
Thanks!

can anybody please post what every scene does? like which ones smooth out things and make pictures less detailed, which ones make colors brighter? And what are best settings for day light and low light pictures? |

The camera automatically apply noise compression that smoothes images in low lighting but if you want it to be super smooth, use night landscape. This mode also maintains a lot of detail as compared to other phones with the same noise compression algorithm which is one of the coolest things about the camera
which ones make colors brighter?
Colour gets more saturation with with 1) cloudy WB 2) sports scene. But sports needs lots of light whereby cloudy is better in poorer lighting conditions
And what are best settings for day light and low light pictures?
For daylight I prefer auto scene, but use daylight or cloudy white balance instead. For indoor low light I use snow/beach scene (which hightens the temperature and lessens noise), for outdoor low light I use night landscape
