Yea congrats sealover94...
Both colours look good... I would have to look at them in the flesh to decide...
Also depends if any of the networks get exclusive on the colours... which would be a shame...
Cheers
ENJOY

Hey everyone I live in the US....ive got a few things:
1. On SE website the UK X10 model it supports US Tmobile 3g 1700/2100....but the X10a only supports At&t 3g band, not Tmos..That seems wierd to me. Im on Tmo so im gonna have to import. Which Im fine with Ive always imported my phones since the p900 days, im just throwing that out there cuz it seemed strange to me that the bands would be like that.
2. How much US dollars you think this sucker is gonna be?!! and When do you think we will start seen places like expansys etc..starting to list a price?? |

"Difficult to upgrade to Android 2.0"
According to idg.se
"After Google's mobile launch of Android 2.0, many are wondering if and how to upgrade all phones based on the earlier versions.
The current situation is based, the vast majority of Androidtelefoner on version 1.5 of Google's operating system, while the single suppliers chosen version 1.6. Once Android is now in version 2.0, of course, many want to upgrade phones, but it's easier said than done. "

that article doesn't say anything we didn't already know.
Obviously upgrading to a more powerful version of android will require higher specs to run it. X10 would not have that problem.
The second issue is software compatibility, specifically SE's custom interface and apps. This just means if we want to use SE's custom interface and apps, we have to wait for SE to make compatible versions (if they aren't already compatible). But, that doesn't stop us from upgrading to android 2.0 and simply using the standard android interface, as ugly as it is. Some might not care at all
I look forward to upgrading to android 2.0 though! There won't be a color depth limit like 1.6. Like the Droid, it'll have 24-bit color support, and the X10 should already have the specs to churn out those colors For initial use, it won't bother me but since I look at a lot of photos, i'd rather have the 24-bit color depth eventually.

What are the chances for that, what do you people think? I mean getting more colours (and how much more?) with an update do Android 2.0. 65K is really low, so IMO that is a must!

Hopefully, SE will build UX over vanilla android, as an app, and not "mess" with the OS. |

Now when I read the review of Samsung I7500 (which has a display supporting 16.7 millions colours) over at mobile-review.com it clearly makes sense with all this whining of X10 just having a display able to show 65k colours.
It doesn't matter if the display is clear and shows vivid colours. It will just make it more obvious how extremely stupid it was by Sony Ericsson to only support 65k colours. The colour blending will become more obvious and pictures wont be displayed as they are meant to.
It has a resolution of 854x480 as we all already know and even 256k isn't sufficent for this resolution and size of the display, because still there will be 153920 pixles using the wrong colours due to the lack of rich colour palette support.
Whether the human eyes can see 16.7 millions of colours or not doesn't matter because clearly we can see millions of millions and anything bellow 16.7 millions to a high end device like X10 is not acceptable.
Whoever states anything else is lying.
We shouldn't bash people who feel let down by Sony Ericsson for giving us a display able to draw just 65k different colours. What we should do is to unite and put a preasure on Sony Ericsson to give us better display than just this lousy crap.
