Sony Ericsson have told me that they are not going to add EQ feature and that no more updates are planned for the time being. They are only compling a list of any bugs people report. So what we got now is our lot....

well to be honest i didn't have any bugs before this update now i have several, SE better get the finger out and sort this, it was my understanding that this was a quick interim update and a full update was on the way in around 2 weeks which would include stuff like equaliser on the media player.....................this later full fw revision is currently with beta testers.

SE need to start firing people and get some new program managers that have a clue.

Who told you that EQ etc was going to be added and is with beta testing. ?

I have been in contact with the same guy at SE for about a month now and he says that this is the release that was originally planned for 2 weeks time and that there is no other update and no EQ.

I would really love there to be an EQ added and for smilies to be added and for the texting bugs to be sorted. So i really hope you are correct....Please.........

I also think my phone was better before the update, the only niggle I wanted sorting hasn't been sorted, things have disappeared off my phone like the photos, some nice ones I was using for my standby screen, predictive texting seems worse, wi-fi is tempermental and only stays connected for short periods.

Let's hope they pull their fingers out.

Its crazy that a product like this was allowed to be released surely the product manager should be fired! Take for instance the analogue clock that appears during calls thats only their cause its a nokia thing its obvious it does not fit in. Also why so hard to scroll the phone book? Why is the phone book not the same as when you scroll tracks in media player = smooth and responsive and can flick too, love the phone but let down by bugged software also i worry sony stops supporting this product and moves onto its new phones. and why no support for animated backgrounds?

have u tried a soft reset (*#7780#) or a hard reset (*#7370#) back up first tho.

other than that the only suggestion i cud offer is to enter both versions of the number for each contact in the "mobile" and the "mobile work" fields. which i know is a poor solution.

beyond that complain to SE

I have not long got my satio and one thing is bugging me. Is it possible while in silent mode for ringtones and message tones to be played while i have my head phone plugged in. I have tried it to get it to work but the phone also played the tones as well as in the headphones

Good day everyone!

That message problem where the number comes up instead of the name happens to me to, but only for one person. The same thing happened with my K850 as well. Annoying but rare thankfully (they're not big texters).

Does anyone else have any problems with their alarms? With both this and the original firmware (both Orange UK branded, although bravo to Orange that it's pretty much just theme related for once and you can change it back!) has a bug in that if the phone is key locked (with or without the password phone lock) the alarm doesn't go off.

I keep waking up late and wondering why my alarm didn't go off. Funnily enough, as soon as you unlock the phone they all go off. It's somewhat annoying for the whole getting up for work thing.

If you turn the phone off and take the battery out (what's the difference between this and a soft reset by the way?) it works for a while, but will stop working again after a day or so.

If I turn the phone off over night the alarm still doesn't go off, I'll wake up to find that the phone displays the white 'Sony Ericsson' screen and has obviously locked itself turning on somehow. It then needs turning off again to get anywhere!

I've only seen one other person with this problem, but they only mentioned it in passing with something else.

Thanks for an awesome community by the way, the help with this and my K850 has been invaluable, even if I've never posted!

Thanks everyone *wipes tear from eye*

I cant edit photos, and I asked SE about it, they said to install the Firmware again (which I did and then they asked me to send the phone back) I also did a hard reset.
I can see the crash log in c:\Private\101ffa91
Its seems that the firmware only upgrades and does not wipe the phone (like old SE firmware did)
Its a pity you dont have this option when your doing the SEUS update.

Hopefully I will be able to edit photos in the next firmware, will just have to wait and see.
