My lettering on the back of the camera lens cover is starting to wear off it now shows 2 mega pixel au o focu instead of 3.2 mega pixel auto focus. I look after my phones too never a scratch or mark.

But you've exchanged it a couple of times if I recall correctly, right? So how long have you been using this particular one? Mine's still good, but I take pretty good care of my phones and I've not used this for very long anyway.

@Bonovox, I'm from Singapore. I'm with you on this, I could live with the C510 on its current firmware if I had to. I've seen worse problems on other phones with the latest firmware. My T700 was a little buggy initially too. But now, with the latest firmware, it's rock-solid. I'm loving it.
Ditto. Love my T700, it just does almost everything so well. The C510 has the edge though in browsing experience, that 2.2 inch screen makes a big diff. The threaded SMS & the 3.2 mpx autofocus cam aren't bad either. |

I actually prefer the t700 design. Also my c510 now is starting to get small amounts of dust behind the screen. Can only see it in natural light or if you shine a bright light on it. But its starting to annoy me why dont SE and other manufacturers i.e Nokia start putting proper sealings around the screens to stop this its pathetic. Never hear of this on other phones.

Just now i ran my finger across the lens cover and my lettering has completly come off It now just says Cyber Shot. The 3.2 mega pixels auto focus words have gone but has left no mark so it still looks good

Well i am a heavy user of my phone but i look after my phones. I have had some past mobiles and after 6 or 7 months hardly a mark on them. I have a future black c510 Im not aware if new firmware is out yet or not its taking a while i will check later or tomorrow. The latest firmware in UK is R1DA032 there is 035 in parts of Europe though. Annoying.

Apparently this phone (well at least the C510a) has such a high out-of-box failure rate here in New Zealand that it was recalled. I don't know any more details but have any other countries experienced this? Maybe not with the international version but perhaps with the C510a?

Well, i m planning to get the C510a here in Dom. Rep. i hope that problem is only in New Zealand.
But anyway it has a 1 year warranty and dont see anybody is returning it, because i dont know anybody who have one yet

Yeah you'll be safe with a warranty. It may be that the operator branding has ruined the phone in some way though. Hopefully yours turns out fine!

Well it makes a refreshing change for that NOT to happen in the UK. So far this phone here anyway is proving to be reliable with only minor faults
