Some say that the battery cover is loose..is that true?
Yes - the battery cover moves lengthwise up and down by _literally_ half a millimetre at most. Personally it doesn't bother me, but as the supposed successor to the W810i you'd have expected it to be as rock-solid as that was. In all other regards the W902 feels solid and well-made. |

Thanks for the review. I'm now 99% sure of getting it. I was 100% sure after winning a W902 auction on eBay for $300- I know, too good to be true, and true enough the seller never got back to me. Scumbags like these just ruin it all for everyone. Ah well, have to get it the old fashioned way then
I got mine from expansys for £350 incl. p&p. |

Question to w902 owners: during music playback and while the keyboard is locked, can the side keys be operated in order to skip tracks/stop music? I suppose so, yes.
But when the stop button is pressed, and while the keyboard is still being locked, can it be pressed so that the music starts again? Or does the user have to unlock the keyboard first?
thanks. |

Q1: you can skip tracks.
Q2: you can only stop the music. You have to unlock the pad to start music again. |

I wonder why you can't start the music again, like the good old w800. Oh well, it doesn't matter. Thanks for the reply. |

if only SE's bridges the gap between W810 and w902...then there's no way they could lose the market share |

Hi, do you mean that while the keyboard lock is on, you can't start and stop the music with the dedicated side buttons?
With my K800, I can repeatedly start and stop my music with the dedicated side button.

There are quite literally tons of phones that slot between the W810 (~USD150) and W902 (~USD400)

That's wrong I'm afraid. You can start the music again - you just have to hold down the play/stop button for half a second or so - the keypad doesn't need to be unlocked.

That's one of the things that I find a bit annoying with the w810, the side button accidentally becoming pressed in my bag and music playing. Would much rather it did lock with the other keys. |

With the W902 I've put it in my pocket a couple of times whilst music has been playing, only to catch one of the side buttons and either skip a track or stop it by mistake. A little annoying, but it's always going to be a slight compromise with Walkman phones between maintaining ease of navigating your music and keeping the non-music keys locked. |

Not on my phone. To start the music again I have to unlock the pad. Does not play even if I hold down the play button for + 5 sek. |

Well the K800 is not the same as the W902... (I had a K800 before)
On my W902 I can only change tracks and stop the music if the pad is locked. To start it again I have to unlock the pad.
Maybee it is different on other phones? Mine is with Swedish firmware. |
