Lots of SE's feature phones support wave files. And no, it didn't lag a bit, which I was really surprised about

It transmits your music as FM radio so that other devices equipped with a FM receiver can pick it up. Thought it was obvious.
That way you can transmit your music to virtually any stereo/hi-fi system or even another phone. To multiple devices at once, too.

Suppose your traveling in a bus. And the guy next to you has his ipod with portable speakers and bothering you, what you would do if you had w980 was to turn on your walkman transmit it thru the fm transmitter , ask the bus driver to tune into that frequency and keep it loud!
Thats one of the applications of fm transmitter . Its great for sharing your music. |

As FM radio, yes.
You start playing a song, choose a frequency and start transmitting whatever's playing on your phone.
Simple as that.

Can anyone translate from Taiwanese to English the following site:
http://www.eprice.com.tw/mobile/news/?news_id=7600
Shows the W980 scoring best in music. Translation would give full information.
(Nice pictures as well) |

Just got my w980 and loaded it up with music.
Wow, the sound really is something. and the design is stunning. IMHO
When i read reviews and they said the keys round the d-pad were small, i was a bit concerned. But in the flesh, i find the keys absolutly fine!
Only gripes are that the FM transmitter doesn't work superbly well, but it might be fixable in firmware, and that it doesn't fit my desk stand any more. annoying as i have to connect the phone often to move music.
Also, that little indicator on the lower left side doesn't seem to work. even in test mode.
I also got a music cable in the box with the phone, is that standard?
