The MAS-100 speaker we spoke about further back in this thread is now released

£24.99 seems like a fair price.

What does everyone else think?

I've got a question ( maybe stupid question ) - is the GPS using only Google Maps or there are integrated maps?
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand...

I've had mine a couple of weeks now.. so far..

First handset playing up crashing, stuttering sound.. Replaced by O2, no problem.. New set seems to work. Lets face it this can happen with any model or brand.

My Sony flash doesn't work, and there doesn't seem to be a replacement on the market, poor show sony! Just coz i don't have a cybershot, i don't get a flash.. Hope this can be fixed somehow?

Annoyed about the GPS stuff (googlemaps, wayfinder) not installed, O2 just say, thats they way we supply them! So downloaded Googlemaps, Amazegps, its free and seems to work.

Can't find any gps apps which install the maps on board, i believe wayfinder doesn't do this either, so maps downloaded on the move. Watch for data charges!!

Headphones.. I never even opened the packet, they look rubbish, but its not the end of the world, i have been using my old W800/w810 headphones (HPM-70, i think?), i found a less volume than W800, but my headphones were old, updated to Sennheiser CX 400 (they have short cable and extension
) plugged into my HPM mike.. and wow, great quality, very loud, highly recommended (cheap too!).

@Lunion, the MAS-100 speaker looks nice, will decide to buy or not when i hear it.

Conclusions? I love my W760i

regarding the MAS-100
it says is stereo sound on play.com - I dont think it has, mine appears to only have one speaker and the sound quality is not brilliant.
In short I would advise you to buy these for listening to music on the beach or other environment where you want to protect your phone. Or perhaps strapping it your belt for music on the move and annoying people.

I also have mps-70 and the sound is much better and stereo

Hi guys I'm new here (this is my first post!). I just wondering if anyone was having same problems as me witht he W760:
-When playing music the phones freezes for 3-4 secs quite frequently
-When music player is on when trying to type sms the phone is extremely slow at typing and again freezes up lots
-Setting alarm and it does not go off in morning! (been late for work twice already!!)
-Not installed with google maps or Wayfinder (I'm on o2)

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

So are these just software bugs then??
Was wondering if i should send my phone back to o2 and ask for a replacement or just wait until SE issues a firmware update??

Any ideas when an update might be coming out??

Thank god the equalizer doesn't work on the internal speaker! It's just not good enough that you want to boost bass or treble, and risk massive distortion.

On my iPhone 3G, the settings work on the internal speaker (which is poor) and so I like to have boosted bass on the headphones, resulting in distortion when I use the internal speaker. At least have two separate settings if you must, but that's NOT a downside on the W760i.

Awesome to hear that there's an update!

Wonder if it'll work on unlocked phones bought from ebay in Hong Kong?

I'm in New Zealand so buying from HK is really my only option. Liking the phone and don't really care for its music capability.. so only the alarm matters (I neeeeeed a good alarm).

What's the new firmware's code?

Thanks
