no bugs on mine, except the green tint on the pictures i posted.
Battery life seems good, charged once only since friday.
Video playback very good, player smooth & efficient.
No lagging, no crashing and no problems so far.

I know you say no lagging, etc. But what's the speed like for browsing the media manager?

whats the screen like?
i remember reading in the M-R review they said it wasnt as good as the w880, was not as bright, but going by the comparrison pics between the 2, the w890 has MUCH better colour reproduction, whilst still being bright enough!

Maybe it was because the W890i has a light sensor.

the screen is quite good i'd say, bright enough for me!
Video playback shows full colours and plays 30fps with ease.
Outdoors the screen seems fine too.

Yeah. And if I remember correctly, those pictures taken in the comparison were taken in the dark. Which means that the screen was dimmed because it doesn't need any light boost in the dark. I wonder if M-R took that into account...

hi there am looking for a screen protector for the w890i but as of yet the uk sellers on ebay dont have any. are the dimenssions for this phone the w890i the same as the w880i ? so perhaps i can get the older models screen protector and stick it on?? or is there another handset with the same size screen. Im not sure where to get this information from?? |

both are 240x320. so a w880's could do the trick

W880 and P1 are both 320x240. Should I use specific screen protector for that?
It's screen size is 2". |

Guess what guys this phone has a low speaker performance compared with the w660i which has a loud speaker performance.
W890i has one adnantage quad-band the rest is usual things im suprised how sony ericsson builds a walkman with low speaker performance compared to w800i ,w550i,w850i,w660i,w910i the w890i phone speakers are average . iwas going to buy it but sorry sony ericsson next time build a walkman phone with excellent specker . sony ericsson should build a real walkman withe excellent specification the looks dont fool me when it comes to specification and loud speaker then yes but specification and low speakers sorry i will but my money for a good device. SE should learn a lesson people are not going to buy a walkman just because it says walkman. |
