Damn, why do we have to wait so long? October? That's 4 months!

My k750 is dying on me...

BTW, I love the W960i's specs, I might even be tempted. Yes, it's "only" 3.2 megapixels, but the screen is much bigger, it's thinner, it's got Wifi and a touchscreen (I don't really care about UIQ) and as far as I know it's gonna be just a little bit more expensive (like €100 or so).

Anyone else thinking that the W960 might be the most serious competition the K850 will have to face?

Competition between w960 and k850?! LOL!!
W960 is at least 3 classes above..! OS-based (all included) + wi-fi + superior 2.6" touchscreen+better multimedia features(form the w series he is the best I think in the multimedia!) 30fps video playback in full screen(that means the over-all performance cpu-ram-3d acc is better(just as in P1.. thats great!), much much better web browsing, documents viewrs/editors and so on!

Also according to me K850's outlook is super-plastic!! Too plastic! And in the blue variant the silver parts screams "cheap! cheap!" And dont tell me "but no, thats not cheap, thats ~500euro!" cause when u buy something expensive, the big price is NOT guranatie for good quality/performance/specs! Examples are milions around us(nothing against Samsung, but look their phones closely..)

Cheers! (p.s nothing against anyone's opinion, it's normal some ppl to agree with me, some-not. In my words had no wish to insult someone!)

Cheers x2

30fps video playback in full screen

Umm.. my K800 can do 30fps video playback in full screen... just keep the bitrate at 320 kbps.

Yes, thinking the same. Always gone for the phone with the best camera before, but this time the K850 is just a little short of the features appearing on other phones. The thing that may stop me getting the W960 (and N95) is the lack of proper flash - as a lot of camera phone pictures are taken at night in pub/meals ect, having a flash is a big plus. For me, it's such a shame they didn't put wifi in the K850.

K850 media player seems to be very very good too for what ive seen in Youtube videos, and the OS is friendly , graphically better with a lot of effects and for sure more stable than UIQ. The battery life and the size factor could be a decisive to chose a k850 instead w960 for those who care less about smartphones. Hope that the sound quality will be the same in both phones

why is there a glass before the lens protection?
If there is a scratch over this glass, every picture taken after will be damaged....

I have a question. On the top left side of the phone. It is not a videocall camera. What is it? A light sensor to sense colour so as to change theme colour as to suit the mood??

From Mobiletoday.co.uk

"The K850i has been designed with standard compact camera features, and bears an almost identical look and feel to a compact camera.

It is also preloaded with shortcuts to blogs and social networking phenomenon, Facebook. It is due to hit the market this Christmas, expected to be between free and £50 on contracts upwards of £45 a month."

I think Vodafone is the only operator to dabble with facebook so far, (article on esato somewhere), so does this mean Vodafone will have an exclusive on one of the colours?

Lets hope the exterior lens is made of scratch-proof material so as for you guys to wipe the "lens" without fear of getting dust into the actual lens & scratch or soil it??

i think the glass is scratch proof like the ones in the T650 screen.i think SE knows what they are doing.

one thing i have noticed about the new lens cover's advantage is that we won't have to worry about it's loose cover issue anymore(because it's embeeded and is protected by glass) and accidentally open it and drain battery

That picture's a good example - you can imagine what that finger print on the cover will do for the picture quality, and it hasn't even got any bumfluff from your pocket all over it yet!!
