imo i could get used to the different keypad, but trust me, once u had that e60 screen, u ll be very critical with a less sharp cren...
anyway, the e61i joypad and keypad fits more my taste at usage to be honest

@Boba
I can't comment on the E60 screen as have never seen one but as you know i am still even now very impressed with the E61 even the joystick that so many seem not to like. IMO it really does have the best qwerty on any device i have used and the screen is both large, sharp crisp and clear for anything it does including watching Video. Using the E61 with Tom Tom is as good as having a stand alone device IMO as the volume is just so loud you cam even still have Music on although not at full volume. I am just glad i didn't rush to sell it when i had the N95 and E90 as i would of had to of replaced it. It really is one of if not my all time favourite device and I've had more than a few to compare it to.

No i haven't played with an E61i other than a dummy unit and i prefer the joystick as i find control far easier. The E90 had the D pad and i definitely prefer the joystick but what i prefer and like might not be what anyone else does.

Hi Boba,
Well I'm sure you know it has a 1500aMh Li-Polymer battery and i certainly don't need to charge it daily even if i use it with Tom Tom for a couple of journeys. But i have never used it for a couple of hours straight over WiFi although it is well known that the E61 has one of the best battery life's of virtually any smart phone.

Im back! Been studying....The E60 is a fantastic phone but that joystick tends to fade away and become a painful thing to use when scrollin sideways.....We wouldnt hav minded a 2.4 inch screen but wow that screen was fantastic! Even the phones build quality was excellent. Why is there no i version or successor? Is it not popular? |

Hi Boba,
Well the first and easiest thing i can suggest to do is go to Settings then Phone then General then Phone Language and see what is selected and what your options are. Depending on the options change to English and try the keyboard, if that doesn't work you may need to reflash to another firmware.

I had an OLD Nokia E-50 model fone for a WEEK, sold it after I've experienced the fone froze It happened when I was transferring files via BT then I got a TEXT MESSAGE, the fone instantly frozed As I got to check it's reviews at GSM-arena, they say that it's one of the fone model's-problems (freezes and hangs) . . . I was opting to have the firmware upgraded with the latest, though have just decided to upgrade to a P990i
