SONY XPERIA Rumors 2014 |

I say 100% bullshit. z4 will debut s810 at MWC (along with z4 tablet) as the z ultra successor is nowhere to be seen. just the name "z3x" doesn't make any sense unless it is announced at IFA which won't happen as there are no sensible rumors about such device and especially not with that none sense spec.

^ Agreed, I don't believe in such specs.
But It is possible that there might be a device with the Snap 810 chip at the beginning of 2015. All I want to say is that they need something to show at CES, otherwise it is pointless for them to have a booth there, unless they want to announce the US version of the Z3 (which is too late at that time)

Dear lord make this true
Support "X" Teleconverter Lens , Flash Light and Mic!
The new "XPERIA" - XPERIA™ Z3X:
Snapdragon 810 MSN8994AB 2.86GHz
2GBx2 LPDDR4 -1600MHz RAM
16GB ROM
Android L
Pure Screen - No Keyboard Design
6.14" Top Emission - White OLED (RGB - High Color Purity - Color Filter - Pixel) 101% NTSC Color (VFR)
Trimaster EL Drive (Like PVM-2541A)
Resolution 2560×1152
Motionflow XR M(Direct or 2x)
IMX271SMK 2/3" Curved Exmors-RS CMOS 7.83mm F1.2 G 22MP
69.5mm × 150.1mm × 7.9mm
I've been making concepts since the golden days (2007-2010) and needless to say this one is not even a good concept to feast our eyes upon, let alone be considered a legitimate photo leak, the camera and flash were ripped from parts of product images such as Sony cameras. a camera lens that big on a sub 10mm phone? you've gotta be kidding me LPDDR4 1600Mhz RAM is also absurd when DDR4 is yet to become mainstream on PCs
my old buddies from the concept thread can do better more realistic concepts that that piece of absurdity

Not likely at all. CES is not a mobile show. they will at most announce a z3 variant. the last thing sony should worry about is what to announce at CES, they are consumer electronics company, not just mobile, plus, they need enough time frame for z3 devices to actually arrive to stores and sell as they are terrible at worldwide distribution and marketing. |

Due to Sony aiming for quicker releases after announcement, we should see the Z4 at MWC and available a few days after. It should have the s810 Yay? Besides it being 20nm, nothing too exciting. At least it should be able to properly power 2560x1600 displays, which should be in the Z4 tablet which should be announced at the same time as the Z4.
In terms of hardware, the last interesting development was about a year ago with the original MSM8974 (s800). Since, almost nothing has been interesting in the slightest.
That is, until no, sort of at least. http://videocardz.com/51059/n[....]eld-tablet-wireless-controller
Sony need to up their productivity and software game. In terms of hardware, the rate of improvement is being further limited, and most people aren't going to feel it much either (I think it's safe to say we've reached the point where 2013 high-end specs are 'enough' for most as long as we use our phones in the same way as we do).
Thanks to Nvidia going in the right direction, Sony need Playstation Now on their tablets...Now. |

I didn't know there was a 21 megapixel limit with Snapdragon 801... explains a lot about why Sony has tried to up the resolution since Z1.
Anyways, 2015 sounds like it'll be a good year from mobiles, whereas 2014 feels more like a transition year while we wait for bigger and better things.
So as is my custom, I'll once again offer sexual favours to Kaz if Sony creates a proper, high end Playstation Phone |

You can work around that limit.. I think there is a phone using an old MSM8960 pushing 41 million pixels.. |

The Arc, Z, ZL are all announced at CES, they didn't pay to have one of the biggest booth surrounded by a 360 screen to not show off anything new. |

@amirprog: it's possible that they will not announce (less likely) anything. Just like CES this year, none of the Android manufacturers went on and announce their latest flagships.
So I think it might be a trend from now on. They might announce the mid-low range at CES and Flagship at MWC or Their owned event? =)) |

I don't know--S810 is not only 20nm, but also contains the entire RF 360 platform from Qualcomm (for significant power savings), it has support for hardware encode of 4K video, and it has Adreno 430, which will be a full 80% more powerful than Adreno 330, in addition to having a CPU that's up to 50% faster. I think it's the most exciting SoC in a while |

Recently they announce most none flagship on social media or in asia. z1 compact was already announced before in japan and in the first place it was leaked with z1 in the middle of 2013 and was supposed to be announced at MWC but got pushed if i remember correct. |

Sorry, I do not believe any of these radical rumours. The specs seem a but farfetched. the 2/3 sensor is the same size as the one used in the nokia 1020. The actual sensor size is not that much large than 1/2.3, around 2-2.5mm wider and taller but that issue would be the entire camera module, it would be much larger and I would imagine the size would be bigger than the thin phone, so a bulge would be sticking out.
This would not bother me if the image quality would improve but then I feel the software would be a let down again.
regardless, I am sure Sony is also trying to spread out false info to mislead but there might also be real ideas and prototypes testing, but will not see the light of day. |

AFAIK, the curved sensor should fix the optics issue..
not that I believe these spec. or rumours or these pics ( which are clearly faked for me ).. the point that the current idea that a large sensor is hard to put in a thin profile is about to change a little bit with the curved sensor as it will allow much less lenses in the optics assembly... not like we will have 1" sensor in Z2 like device, but it will allow a little larger sensor than what is currently possible in the same profile.

Of course the image is not real people! They're trying to show that the design would look something like that and it's not the actual design
