That what Nvidia had achieve in Tegra 4 and previous generation . it uses Quad core for big task and the Fifth core has low frequency and used in sleeping mod to save power..

that's right, but not exactly, if you take a close look at intel's nehalem architeture (the first generation core ix CPUs) they don't use 5th cores instead they use the same high performance core but is undervolted and underclocked when in idle mode. so the question is why use a low power 5th core or Big.Little method which increases the die size when you could optimize an existing core/s by turning it into low power mode?

I don't think Motorola will announce in Feb and ship in May. Most of the manufacturers have learned that. |

BTW is Sony not taking part in MWC? No info yet about dates and no press invites? |

The February 20. press conference may be more than a PlayStation even. We have to wait and see.

I find it unlikely the Feb 20th event will cover anything outside of the Playstation environment as Sony have billed it as, "the future of Playstation".
The only possible link to Sony mobile I can see is if they either have Playstation Mobile news, or announce an online streaming service using Gaikai that allows you to stream full Playstation games to your mobile.
Still, this event + MWC within a week of one another! Good times ahead! |

This is my main concern with SONY, they're so bad marketing themselves. Even the announcement of Z on CES was
like: "Here's our new 5" phone and it's great". It drowned in all the other SONY products that were unveiled...which is a shame.

C550X looks like a good handset for people who find the Xperia Z/ZL too large, identical specs aside from screen resolution by the looks of it. I'm looking forward to seeing that, and a possible release date.
