This is exactly bilinear resize filter, nothing more.

ah, so register 5B is for the bilinear resize.. thats a good find i'll have to test that out, thanks for the info SPU!
I sure wish there was a nice patch for the W810 to move around the camdriver location, the whole XS/far+sefp method is sloooow and makes for a very slow frustrating process of testing.

I second that. I'm just hoping someone will figure out a way to move the cam drivers to phone mem.

hey i jus checked out the photos i took with an exif viewer.
when i took photos with the follow methods and
arrived at the following results:
1) first i locked ae, then went into supermode the set iso to 100 (i.e.1.1) then adjusted manual shutter. with this method i got pics with heavy noise and iso levels much higher than 100.
1) first i entered supremode, then i locked ae, then set iso to 100 (i.e.1.1) then adjusted manual shutter. with this method i got really good noise free pics but all pics were iso 80.
can u please tell me why the pics were iso 80 when i chose iso 100?
also when i set iso to 100 i had to increased the shutter speed to the slowest setting (i.e. 4.0) to get a well exposed indoor pics. why is this?
thanks!
Bump!

"can u please tell me why the pics were iso 80 when i chose iso 100?"
Because you have w810. Camera always selects lowest ISO for very low shutter speeds.
"also when i set iso to 100 i had to increased the shutter speed to the slowest setting (i.e. 4.0) to get a well exposed indoor pics. why is this?"
It's normal, 4.0 is like standard night mode, but this is not slowest setting, enable Night mode before adjusting the Shutter speed.

Sorry Sarmad!!!
This is a modded Sarmad 5.7
http://janek.extra.hu/test/camdriver0_nightEM.zip
macro = manual focus like in original 5.7
night mode = Enhanced mode !!!
normal quality = longer shutter (40)
fine qulaty = shorter shutter (3d) (replaced!!!)
No enhanced night mode and no original night mode.
All other parameter same with original Sarmad 5.7
@janek: you have done the right thing frnd. Good. |

1.3 beta 7
New camera modules can't understant positive values of saturation, so in this version saturation is set automatically (00 for k750 CID 49, and 06 for w810/w800 and k750 cid36). And now in SM saturation for new camera modules works in different way: Zoom 1.0 - default, Zoom 1.1: -3 ... Zoom 4.0: -32 (B/W).
Hi, SPU... Could you please explain the difference in use of saturation in newer k750i phones. I own ak750i cid49 and I treid several drivers to get as good pictures as with my old K750i CID36.
Where have I to look in the modded drivers if these drivers work with CID49 saturation setting??
Thx for help.

On K750 CID49 you can't rise the saturation =( you can only reduce it down to BW. So the highest value of saturation is 00 which is default =/
In my driver everything are set automatically:
For K750 CID49: default saturation 00 and in SM (EV +2.0) Zoom 1.0 - default, Zoom 1.1 - 4.0 from normal saturation to BW.
For others: default saturation 06 and in SM (EV +2.0) Zoom 1.0 - default, Zoom 1.1 - 4.0 from BW to oversaturated.

quick test of bilinear filtering which SPU found. differences are subtle but perceptible:
1. landscape (nature)
more details especially on areas where coloristic differences are small (leaves on trees). i give +
2. landscape (city)
more details but in the form of small noise. jagged edges on high-contrast areas. i give -
3. macro
more details. i give +
4. night shots
2mpx camera always produce big amount of chroma and luminance noise but disabled filtering somehow boost this defects. i give -
5. plain color areas
filtering can remove some unwanted defects which corrects image. i give -
conclusion... fit to your photography profile

Hi!
http://janek.extra.hu/test/camdriver0.zip
EM = night mode
normal quality = spot on
fine quality = spot off
macro = manual focus
No variable shutter speed,but i think this is the best speed for K750.
The longer shutter (40) make overexposured pictures in twilight.

@SPU
your beta 8 is awesome but im having a problem wid night shots and vey long exposure times. the pics i take look like theyve been taken wid some negative solarize effect. does anyone else have this problem? i was wondering if u could make a driver that has the option to turn filtering on and off?
thanks! keep up the great...
