@imsje
Just testing 7.80 and 7.81. In my oficce with fluorescent light bulbs i have a problem with slight dark strips (steady or running) on display and resulting on pictures for text shoting. Its because of maybe wrong engaging bulbs into net (something wrong with voltage phase shift in bulbs chains).
As i understood camdriver setting is for automatic detection of flickering in this case. But my k750 doesn't adjust it...
I changed camdiver setting for 50Hz exactly. And problem seems is resolved. May be it'll help smb.

Talking about Color temperatures, so closely connected to White balance settings and their values. I did some research about the color temperature of photo LEDs. One source tells their color temperature is around 8500 Kelvin (K), the other ranging 6500K to 9500K.
Fluorescent light tubes have color temperature widely ranging, depending what kind of "white light" they are pouring. You probably know the spectral peaks on color spectre of fluorescent light source, like here
Daylight fluorescent 6300K
Design white fluorescent 5200K
Cool white fluorescent 3400K
Deluxe Warm White fluorescent 2950K
Another source tells Fluorescent Lamps having 4000K-5000K
Then we have the color temperature of cloudy, overcast sky; the temperature range widely from 6500K to 10000K.
Auot white balance on the other hand tries to make the best guess inside the range 3-4000K - 7000K.
No wonder that SE has originally selected white balance setting "Cloudy" for LED use. Unfortunately the rendering of natural cloudy daylight is quite yellowish, likely depending on the priority by SE; towards the heavily overcast sky.
So, reading all these figures the LED is better off with cloudy than fluorescent, which points to too low color temperature, procucing bluish photos - which is well documented earlier here too.
I have this impression that the white balance values are hard coded and we can't change them, for example the rendering of original "Cloudy" white balance setting?
I would heartily recommend every programmer of camdriver file to first learn the basics of photography, which include the color temperatures and white balance values. |

Thanks , I will put it in the 7.81 also.
@Mark_Q,
People don't care about Kelvin. They like or don't like some picture.
So many of them asked to be fluorescent as default. Anyone can change this settings, becuse it is documented. I am not moder of drv as aksd. I don't know more then you or anybody else here. We just try to find some final driver for most of us. If some one want to continue work, go on, I agree. It is easier look here and download driver.

Use 30.1 or 7.81
they are both good., or stay with 7.7 which is also good. Depends what you want. |

Hi ToryXX
7.129 has greater clearness in shadow zones is looked at black with less disturbs at least… from the photo sees this… is optimal that photo, does not succeed to make download to rapidshare… but camdiver 7.129 are called thus? … in the info of the software one looks at 7.129? they are confused. |
