Does anyone know how to get R1KG001 with Proximus/Vodafone in Belgium?
According to Wotan, it's available at last, and it would be welcome given the nasty bugs in the current R1ED001 firmware version! But the SE Update Service software says there is no update needed, and no-one in Proximus shops is able to answer this.

Not enough privileges to get the files though, but I have the generic version files. If I have to debrand it, I may as well get rid of Vodafone once for all, I can't see any advantage with their customization, besides they disabled or capped several functionalities. I'll have to check if XS++ or another tool can already do that for a K800i with this version of the firmware 
For those who wonder, Sony Ericsson design the software. When SE release updates, the operators don't have anything to do but authorize the release of the update for their brand, supposedly after testing it. Which apparently takes this one (Vodafone, more specifically Proximus) a lot of time - it has been more than 4 months, maybe more since they authorized the previous R1ED version. I had confirmation from two sources that SE is still waiting for this authorization.
Feeling like they don't fulfill they promises? Yes, a little bit.

Hello, i have a k800i and it has the firmware which is the 'newest' according to the topic start post. My question, has there been a newer release?
My k800i is not branded, and i bought it in Holland (Europe). |

Probably,K800i firmware development has stopped!This phone doesn't have any problem anymore,so it isn't necessary for SE to release a newer firmware version than R1KG001!

i used to have vdos playing in thumbnail view after the update it dosnt

Thanks but those files look encrypted (has anyone ever tried to use them)?
I suppose it's to be used with their software and an access code once you have paid.

debranding(removing 3g links/menu) it will definitely be the best thing to do.
Flash Main(generic) + FS(region specific like EU_2) + Customize(same as FS region specific like EU_2).
***Note***(these values in brackets are just a correct example) MAIN+FS have to be same version (R1GB001)
FS + Customize have to be same region (EU_2)
