Maybe to maintain to lead over (Nigerian-operations-profit-propelled) MTN! Let's hope Voda considers Nigeria in their "domination" battle plans too... |

Hey party people, hope by now you guys have downloaded the "legit" version of Opera Mini which works like a charm...now you can even open secure websites, still can't download attachments from Gmail though. There's all a better selection of bookmarks.

Did my level best to download Opera Mini from mini.opera.com with no success. Couldn't even get a .jar file from the mirror site... kept on telling me about invalid .jad files

@brix... I dunno why but I want to change or get better username... but Esato has problems... when I open Esato it says no-one logged on... etc. and then I want to create a new one-then it tells me I've gotta log out. so I'm stuck with this.
I actually want Vodafone to have the major part of Vodacom.

@da krypsta: Here's the link for the legit version of Opera Mini... http://mini.opera.com/my
@786KBR: The only reason Vodafone increased their share in Vodacom is because the African telecoms market has begin to show maturity and oppertunities are opening up all over the continent.

@786KBR: If someone offered you R16 billion with a host of other "sweetners" woluldn't you also sell? Beside, VenFin's primary business is not telecoms...they started off as a venture capital firm thus their name. Recently most of their income was derived from their stake in Vodacom but Vodafone offered them more money than what their stake was being valued at by the markets, thus they sold.
There's also news this morning that Telkom's stake in Vodacom SA- the South African subsidiary of Vodacom Group- might be further dilluted by a sale of minority shares to a BEE consortium.

@ brix,
WRT Simphiwe Dana, a good friend of ours,Zukiswa, has been ranting about this particularly talented individual as well, but I have been so out of what's what in the SA music scene that unfortunately I had heard of neither of them until Zuki mentioned Simphiwe last week.
I'm sure Zuki'll be bringing back a wide new range of SA music again when she returns to the UK after Christmas.
Speaking of the festive season...
the meteorologists here are predicting one of the coldest winters in the UK for quite some time...a very possible white Christmas for London, and the Thames River last froze over in parts during the 60's...

Speaking of cold, today the largest telescope in the Southern Hemisphere was official opened in Surtherland.
Check out http://www.salt.ac.za/
You simply have to listen to Simphiwe to see a so many South Africans are going crazy about her music.

I have Opera on my phone. Dnld to pc and then transfered via bluetooth. If you still need it kryptic let me know.
Strange though, with Opera i can get into certain sites that i would usually get blocled for on a pc. Unfortunatley that means that I get more adult images on my phone screen than my stomach can handle.
One prob I have with it is that I can't save an image to my phone. There is no option to do this. Anyone else have similar probs? |

@Siosal: I tried to be daft yesterday by attempting to save a Gmail attachment...unfortunately it gave me an error message but something tells me this feat will soon be possible...to think just a couple of weeks ago I had an argument with about Java vs Symbian.

@ BlueQuill,
SA won the series without a loss. However, one match from the series was abandoned due to rain and another was also interrupted due to rain, resulting in the notorious Duckworth-Lewis rule being implemented and SA reached the required deficit comfortably.
SA v/s India on the 16th...should be good stuff.

Yup! I am waiting for that one too. Given the recent performance of both the teams, it will indeed be a treat to watch. Is it 16th of this month or the next?
