Maybe it is the steady way you hold it, or the 'mist' of the pixels that makes everything smoother. The K700 is also a lot faster than the megapixels camera's. For example, there are numerous fans of lo-fi analog photography at http://www.lomography.com And K700 don't have autofocus, that also makes it fast.
