Anyone can try out whether is this phone supports standalone GPS or AGPS only?
To test is very simple just disable the GSM/UMTS connection and see the GPS still working or not.
Thanks. |

A-GPS still uses satellittes, but when it can't get a fix quickly (for example if you are inside) it supplements the true GPS with cell tower triangulation (based on the GPS that every cell tower contains).
It's a myth that agps needs the phone network to function. A is short for Assisted. So it only assists true gps, not replace it.

Ok so if the a-GPS doesn't work with your operator/country, the phone switches to normal gps? also does gps use more battery than A-gps? And finnally, if possible, could someone say how much (like size) google maps/wayyfinder downloads when moving (also if you could say how long you were moving for)

Some of you who own the phone or have tried it: How is the build quality? Its not that I believe all what they say at Mobile-review.com, but the built quality can't be as bad as they put it, right? |

I think the build quality is awesome really solid.
The software side off it is top notch you could have everything going on and it still laughs at you and doesn't miss a beat.
I lost a bit off faith in Sony after having so many problems with my K850i.
I think anyone will love this phone and it is very hard too find something not to like. Iv still not found one. |

The build quality is top notch. I have no complaints. The slider spring kicks in late, but it is still very sturdy. The sliding shutter is a mechanical wonder too.
And for all those still wondering about Video Call, I've made a video just for you.....

Our actual owners say it's quite good, though not quite up to Samsung standards.
