@BlueQuill: The new Prince of Persia- Two Thrones is still lis being listed as "Coming Soon" on the Gameloft website.
@Siosal: Right now my feelings about mobile porn are neither here nor there because I don't have kids. My beef is with unscrupulous companies who exists for the sole reason of making a "quick buck" and if love poems is the path to a million dollars they'll take it. Even though I'm not a serious fan of regulation Icasa could make themselves useful by regulating the distribution of offensive cellphone content.

Regulation... yes. I am sure there is/should be some clause somewhere in the License agreement that protects minors.
I am interested in how SA deals with this issue caused by new technology. In Nigeria, no Telco dare put up any porn on their wapsite like MTN SA does. It is zero tolerance ...so far.
And the Adults are yet to get phones... much less the kids. |

Check out http://www.imessage.co.za and see how easy it is to set up a service whereby suckers pay mucho dinero to send sms to receive whatever it may be that you choose to sell them. How about we set up such a service, advertise it as something like Naked Babes, etc then send em pix of skeletons? Can't get much more naked than that :-)

LOL@Kryptik. @coola: The networks in SA don't provide porn, they'll tell you it's 3rd party content providers who merely lease capacity from them. What is starting piss off though is the offensive ads on tv late at night.

@786KBR: That's the first time I hear about MTN and porn on their website...me still thinks the idea of trying to sell porn for mobile phones is retarded. Why? Because you can get it for free my simply doing a Google search e.g "sex .3gp" and you've got it.
Last night I was chatting to a guy who wants to set up a WASP( Wireless Application Service Provider) and I told him he's basically setting himself up to be screwed because content is so freely available there's no incentive to actually purchase anything. He could possibly make money by providing exclusive content like kwaito hits in mp3 format.
I don't know what the copyright laws are in Russia but all the pirated content seems to eminate from there.

The discovery of capitalism and the greenback certainly seems to have breathed life into Mother Russia...
Brix, maybe we should send some emails to the Broadcasting Complaints Authority?

@da krypsta: At 27, I'm not prepared to be re-classified as a mother grundy. Honestly I think people need to be informed so that they can make choices that suit them. I can just imagine what happens at your house when you daughter happens to be up late on a Saturday night and one of these ads get flighted. How do you explain it to her?

I wouldn't mind getting a few kwaito classics from years gone buy,as I occasionally get asked for music from SA (and other countries)by the school's music department...it would be fun watching Pom kids attempting to groove to the sounds and moves of Boom Shaka's classic 'Thobela',(Tho-belaaaahhh...!)or other classics by Mandoza etc.
Izinja Zami should go down well too..?
Maybe I'll really get them going then with the Xhosa 'click song' sung by the iconic Miriam Makeba.
I need to get that Xhosa tongue(click?)-twister,about the skunk that rolls down the hill and breaks its windpipe...
it'll be an absolute hose listening to these Poms attempting it...will HAVE to try and record it! |

I know this is an old question you've asked, What is the new Vodafone Logo.
Vodafone has a new logo.. but they've only used in Portugal at the moment and' going to change all vodafone networks to the new slogan and logo.
The new slogan: (i think you know this by nOw)
MAKE THE MOST OF NOW
Go to www.vodafone.pt for the new logo.

@slslss( why did you ever choose this username?): I'm still recovering from the news that the Ruperts went for the money( ok it was R16 billion) to sell their 15% stake in Vodacom...If things go as expected we might all be Vodafone subscribers come this time next year...The Red Empire wants total domination.
I checked out that logo and it's a slight variation of the current logo. The new one is slightly more bubbly if that's the right term to use.
@da wanqsta: There's so much good music in SA it's crazy...Have you heard of Simphiwe Dana or Zamajobe? Listening to Simphiwe sing in isiXhosa one is almost brought to tears by her lyrics...if there's one album you should get it's hers. Earlier this year at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival she had to perform twice because so many people missed her first performance due to a lack of space in the auditorium at the CTICC.

@brix... I dunno why but I want to change or get better username... but Esato has problems... when I open Esato it says no-one logged on... etc. and then I want to create a new one-then it tells me I've gotta log out. so I'm stuck with this.
I actually want Vodafone to have the major part of Vodacom. |

Honestly I don't think there'll be significant benefits to South African subscribers. Cheaper calls? Cheaper data charges? Better choice of handsets? Apart from a lot of marketing hype I haven't heard Vodafone say anything about introducing better/cheaper services...they're in it simply for the money and the exposure that Vodacom gives them in Africa. :brix25 notices Tahir: _________________ I'm the man who put the satin on your panties- Shock G
