I have tried to do this upgrade for days now. Nothing happens when I get to were you are suppose to follow the instructions...(shutdown, remove sim, hold c and connect phone). Master reset is done, removed the duo card and tried with both the old way to update and the new seus2.

Could it possibly be the usb update that is not correctly installed? That is my only guess now. I never get this "found new hardware" so I can do the instructions to install that update. I did update from device manager instead but maybe that is not good enough?

Any pointers?

HELP!!!
Whilst updating my w800i (T-Mobile UK version) everthing was going fine until the SEUS software gave the message "Script error" whist flashing the new firmware.

Now my phone wont power-up. I have tried to run the SEUS 2 again, however it says my phone is up to date.

Any ideas???? Please????

I'm surprised how few people there are who makes noice about the new bug in R1AA008...

There's an irritating hissing sound in the ear speaker when talking on the phone. When the volume is turned up (real loud) you can't hear it, but when turning the volume down (half and less) the hissing starts. The lower the volume is set, the more hissing there is. Sometimes there's a ticking sound and sometimes the other persons voice is cut off and you can't hear what he/she is saying.

This bug is almost the same as with T610 a couple of years ago...

I know R1AA008 fixed some bugs, but the introduction of the hissing bug is terrible since talking on the phone is the main feature and (probably for most people) the main reason for buying a phone.

@ Gobeerbuy

I had the same problem with my update and ended up going to an SE service center. But after they reflashed my phone, it now crashes every 10 minutes and sometimes doesnt come on. Now I have to go back there and get them to fix it. Hopefully my phone isnt completely damaged.

Does SE warranty cover SEUS f***king up your phone??

@arnoz

nice idea, but I can't find a link to the older SEUS. I still have the instalation file I downloaded, and have installed this, but it needs a web page open I think.

Did you ever manage to find a link to the old update service?

Thanks

Grrr. I had to use Da Vinci Team's excellent software & a log to rollback to R1N.

Thankfully going from R1AA back to R1N has gotten rid of the hissing/static/disturbance during calls. It was worth paying for a log since this way I didn't have to pay for insured shipping to Sony Ericsson USA Service Center and I don't have to be without my phone for days/weeks/months.

I'm still pissed off with Sony Ericsson for not making sure that the main use of the phone, for calls was not affected.

I think you will find that when you have the Play/Pause button set to Radio, it will say that. Switch to Walkman, and you won't get that message......

Menu->Settings->Under General->Play/Pause button.

Just to make sure this hissing is related to and introduced in R1AA008 I used DaVinci to flash R1N035 into one of my K750, and there's no hissing sound in the ear speaker while talking on the phone at all! Then I flashed it with R1AA008 and the hissing is back again!

To all of you who say there's no hissing while talking on the phone, well, all I can say is that you haven't tried speaking on the phone in low volume and in a quite place ... try and you'll hear ... also people might fool themselves into thinking it's a network "noice" (bad reception), but it's not!

I've tried two others K750 today that was updated and they have hissing sound as well - this is not a specific problem for a few, it's a general problem with all K750 which are updated to R1AA008.

Let's really hope SE makes a fast move in this case!
