I don't see why all these mess around why, the only thing that diff. this year from lasts and older is that this year  decided to hold the announcement a little later + make it harder for spyers to leak pics and more info... so each year in the past at this time all ers were already know every thing and saw every thing about the new phones which will be available @ end of may each year... and coz decided to short the time between release and availability, some how is forced to delay the an. till april in order to keep the time between ann. and av. 1 or 1.5 months..
so all ers don't panic at all, will have sofia in market at the end of may or begining of june as usual every year, but the only different, you will not have anything official untill mid april or closer to the availability of the phone it self. this will meke you wait less after you decided which exacty phone you want...
I still remeber b4 two years with K750, I had to wait for more than 3 months just to have the phone.. wow that was too much !!

I have people coming in the store for months now, asking when the N95 is coming out. These people save their money till the moment this phone comes out because they are looking forward to it. With this new tactic of SE they could lose their costumers to the competition.

This is not correct because hype can faded. look at ps3 lost out to xbox360 in usa. Normal guy won't wait if they need something n it never show up. Only die hard fan or nerd like us wait. |

and why should go faster while we can be slower ??
again did not change it's time line, it's exaclty the same, we just feels it take too much because we already know too much of thing we shouldn't know too early !!

I believe Sagem is SE's new partner. Probably they brought some 'under cover' new tactics in SE's hi-tec development lineup

no, they've been talking about increasing production capacity for 2 years now, they settled with working with SAGEM as ODM so that they can use their own original production lines for mid to high end phones, and not worry about the money making low end phones
so it tells us that SE will speed up, both the low end and high end releases
speaking of which, SAGEM did have some great phones at some point, back in the days of My-X8, it has a 2.4" QVGA screen and a really great 1.3Mp CCD camera that took better pics than SE S700i.... |

all the while SE only have one factory for production in Beijing.
the rest of their capacity are from EMS like Flextronics or Foxconn.
they also use ODM like Arima
so Sagem is just another additional supplier to them.
anyway
we should just wait and see....i do really hope this year SE is going to
announce phone and have it in store within 2 weeks (even not for all phone)...like how Sony or even Apple have their product available.
Building the hype have its pros but sometimes it backfire badly especially
when you have unforesee issue which ends up having to delay the product
then from hype...it will turn to anger.
Nokia seem to be doing pretty well in maintaining a short time from
announcement to product launching...and I just hope the anger we faced
just because we have to wait is a one time off event for SE to reorganized
how future product will be out.
We have been so used to expecting new product during CEBIT and no doubt it come as a big let down when you see none in 2007 CEBIT. |
