Hi everyone. Recently the Z1 was anounced here in Dominican Republic through Orange (the C6906 model). Long story short, Im pretty much getting it, but Id like to know if this is the model which is almost sure to get a good screen or is the other way around.
Any comments on this model are welcome.

You cannot say smartphones are not for me what a stupid comment. My posts are not ALL moaning I am mearly stating what IS happening on my Sony whilst I been away. I have never had the same trouble with other brands as I do with Sony and since I tried again with them I won't anymore. Many of my previous posts were saying the Sony was fine to start with. You lot just cannot take it when someone moans about your beloved brand. I am going to go back to a brand that knows what's it's doing with software. On a forum I have the right to moan about a product I have invested in to which is not up the mark. As for being Irish so am I half Irish what's that got to do with anything I don't care that you don't like me complaining

It's not about my favourite brand.
It's the fact that you are praising something without a limit and
one minute later you have tons of issues nobody has and nobody confirms.
The fact is users praise Sony's software on most occasions.
So it's maybe you who f...s up the device in some way not Sony.
Seeing how just jump from total love to hate in one week ALWAYS
shows you are not reliable source of usage information.

You can choose not to do it and sell it, advance to other phones of your favorite. Its either you do it, or not do it. Thats it. Simple. Move on. |

With all due respect, you flashed your Z1 with a different firmware right? and Tsepz is the one who taught/guided you how right? you did mention flashing generic firmware on page 259
If you flashed your Z1 with firmware not coming from Sony's servers then I don't think its fair at all to blame all the crap to Sony. It is not their fault if you flashed something on your phone not coming from their servers. There must be something wrong with the current flashed firmware, or if not the firmware, an installed app etc.
Don't get me wrong I don't mean any offense to you mate, and you've contributed a lot to the Z1 photo thread, but there must've been something that happened that's causing your Z1 to have those issues just recently all of a sudden, while others doesn't seem to have it.

It was bonovox who took your name,and he is acting like you,I agree there may be minor glitches,even I am not able use the phone for 1 month after being payed,that doesn't mean there is not having solution.have patience. |

I'm curios too at different experience faced by different people to the extent that I can't believe it. I use XZ1 and my wife use XZ since the launch and neither of us having even a single problem. I repeat, without even a single problem.
I think, one of the reasons someone having a problem (software problem) is due to the user themselves, perhaps from non-stock firmware and this is why I've never flashed my phone with non-stock firmware (I did with XArc and many phones before that and I faced problem most of the times). Since, I'm totally happy with XZ and XZ1 the way it is, I don't have and will never flash other firmware.
