T-Mobile has a 21+ Mbps HSPA+ network in Philidelphia right?
DOn't know. BUt I'm not longer in philly. Just haven't changed my profile. My friends who have tmobile back home say that AT&T's 3G is faster though.

All of these comments are making me jealous that North America takes seemingly forever to get the cool phones! I want an X10a so bad!!
The X10a might not run 3G on tmob. For a phone to run 3G on tmob you need 1700 and 2100 band.

Jusr found how to security lock the phone. I completely forgot android does the 'draw a picture' security lock! I've not my X10 down in about 30hours. I think my fiance might have competition here for being the most wonderful thing in my life.

So I've sent my black X10 back a few days ago.
One of the reasons is the "protection" of the LCD.
SE stated it did have mineral glass on the 4" LCD, (which is beautiful btw) now why would you need a protection for that?
Surely my C905 didn't need one, since it was rock solid, and appeard in perfect shape after a few months as well.
In fact, the X10 LCD reminded me of the W995 (it's perhaps only flipside) soft plastic LCD cover.
Which ruined the LCD after a few weeks with tiny scrathces.
I did use the X10 for 10 days, and while i tried to put it back to "new" state, you know, wiping of the grease of it, there were indeed alot of fine scratces on the surface.
It might be on the protection cover you might say...
But if your going to protect something that is mineral glass, (?) why put soft plastic crap on top of it?!?
That is really beyound me.
This is coming from a serious SE user, not the usual crybaby or troll, so i'd really like to know, what the h*** this is?
SE have tried to make the X10 messy, which is pretty sad, since i think it is a pretty good device.
The thing above, lack of multitouch and the BS surrounding it, the talk about 2.1 upgrade (WHEN?) and the general bad gut feeling SE have given me lately, made me got ride of it.
The low wolume while calling, bad battery didn't help either.
Sadly.
The X10 is the best looking device in a long time, maybe the best looking touch device ever, and perhaps the best SE since K800 (imo)
What is your thoughts on this?

thoughts? i am glad i didn't remove that protector. My thoughts exactly! Why would we want a protector over a supposed scratch resistant screen that slows down it's responsiveness. After hearing your story about scratches, I am not going to do that. And same feeling about SE here, this coming from a P800, P900, P910, T610, P990, W950, W880, Xperia X1 and now X10, I do feel a certain "shaft" from SE. They used to be THE PIONEERS in smartphone stuff, and now, its always "meh" and "freeze" with them. In the meanwhile, the N900 just keeps rolling... Hope SE updates the issues soon..

Hi guys, can anyone please answer my questions regarding adding notes and how large of a note to the Contacts and Calendar apps. I'm currently using a SE P990 and I have large notes on those apps at the moment. I'd like to know that when I get my SE X10, that I'll be able to transfer all my info without loss due to a limit of characters that can be added to those apps due to any Android limitations compared to UIQ. Also anyone who previously had a P990 could list the options that aren't available on the X10 and if some aren't, then are there third party apps that could take their place? Thanks in advance! - Peter.

3 Australia to release the x10a (yes, the x10a) this Wed, 15th April. Telstra will get the same version, but not until early may. Every other network will get the standard x10...
To all you UK residents... Are the o2 delivered x10's locked to o2 or unlocked? (im referring to contract phones)

Wow! All this talk 'bout locked phones is puzzling. I hope I'm not misunderstanding but are you guys saying some networks are locking phones to theirs so that you can't use another network's sim card?
That takes me back to when our networks used to do that until the government stepped in and made that practice illegal.
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009 |

I also have notes attached to my contacts. I used SE Synchronize tool to transfer my contacts from my P990 and the notes were synchronized with these. Smooth. I don't know if there is a limitation but I have notes of at least 50-60 words in some contacts. I hope this is helpful.
I know people say the battery should not get better after recharging but I find it has improved over the week I have had the phone.
I was new to capacitive screens and missed quite a few letters initially but I have definitely picked up speed and accuracy in my typing on the X10.
Timescape is such a great application, by the way. |

@fjcarlsson - Thanks lor your reply! I just checked one of my largest note by copying and pasting it to a SMS msg, and the SMS character counter showed that the note has five thousand (5000) characters. I'm asking this question because I read someone's comment on GSM Arena saying that they've heard that Android Contacts and Calendar apps don't handle large notes. If you have or you can create a large note of at least 5000 characters by using a SMS msg counter and then paste it in a Contact and a Calendar note entry and save them and then open those entries to see if they can handle large notes. Thank you fjcarlsson!
