On the buss on my way home yesterday, I was listening to music with my K750. But at the buss-stop at SE in Lund, the man who took the seat in front of me picked up his W800. But I was BLUE? (white and blue, instead of orange) Ofcourse a prototype, but anyway. He was also listening to music, so I didnīt want to disturb him.
I have for some minutes tested a silver prototype also, and it was very nice! (very similar to my K750)
Just wanted to tell.
Cheers!

Blue and white with the same style back as the W800? That sounds to me like a D750 without all the T-Mobile branding rubbish on it, not a special blue W800.....

I just want the w800 because of the really funky box! lol
The box completely sold it to me!

my wife would say I was shallow if I made that my reason for getting the W800
fortunately I can't see the point of waiting for the w800 when I already have 99% capability in the K750i although, as often mentioned, flight mode might be nice
also, if the choice is gaudy orange or not having flight mode... I am happy with my current choice!

true it is a very shallow reason for wanting it but hey i'm a pretty shallow guy when it comes to silly little gimicks, and i've been put of the k750i as nobody will sell it to me sim free! but thats another story, roll on w800 and what every else Se has waiting for us!

That box looks wacky and weird. The Razr V3's box was truly something else !

I hated the Razr box, it cost me £20 ($37) to send in the mail. W800 box is nice, would have preferred t68i blue, and white though. |

@mustafabay
It wasnīt that dark blue, it was more "baby-blue" (atleast we say so in sweden, light blue so to say.)
@Chaser81
Maybe it was? I havenīt seen a D750 before. But I checked the SE site now, and yes! I think that it was a D750 i saw. But strange, here in sweden we donīt have the operator "T-mobile". Maybe he just had the cover, or tried it with some other operator here.
We have to wait and see what to come!

Nice handset the W800. I think it may be a bit more than a rebadged K750.

goldenface: maybe so but the styling coupled with the walkman brand makes it look so much better imo.

Let's hope the W800i does arrive this coming month..the more of a head-start it has over the Nokia N91, the better for SE sales. A lot has been said about the potential punters for both phones in several other threads, but there's bound to be some impact on sales between these two, price difference or not.
I can already picture some of the many Nokia-orientated sales assistants in some mobile phone stores telling punters," The W800i has expandable memory blah blah blah, but the Nokia blows it away with a 4 Gig HDD blah blah.." I hope I'm wrong...
Yes, I know for some people, the smaller size of the W800i will woo them over to the SE option, or other factors.
Competition is good, but let's hope the W800i does enough to bolster SE's sales.
It would be great to see a healthier Q3 world sales report from SE...
