If i want to use FMA with BT,shoule i chose use BT or serial port in FMA's option?How about the setting for MPM?Hopefully someone can give a step by step guide starting from successfully installed all realated software:P Thanks.... |

@Vasko
i suggest you use a download manager so you can continue the download process in case your connection gets cut off. i managed to get the whole file on a GPRS connection , there we're disconnections but since i use opera, the built-in download manager took care of it.
@tcs
those "missing" ports aren't really missing, they are being used by somewhere else. check your settings. |

Hi all,
I need help setting up a HSCSD-Connection R520m>MSI Bluetooth-Stick>Notebook using W98se and the german Vodafone network.
In general the connection is set up, and connects with 9.600...but when I add the AT commands for HSCSD it rejects connecting
Any ideas how to set up?
Thanks, regards,

...that's what I want:
Send a Theme from my PC to my T68i.
. But I fail with my MSI bluetooth stick, it has no FTP Service. Any idea how else I can transfer themes and logos from my PC using bluetooth to my T68i? I read about "sendfile" but that Ericsson Communication Suite doesn't work as well, gives me error messages about Active-X and "try to reinstall". Any workflow about what to install first or last (e.g. Widcom, Ericsson R4A Suite Package 4 (inkl. XTDC) and then sendfile?)
That bluetooth thing is somehow awesome and somhow giving me a hard hard time...
Regards, Mats

Ok I think it's time to add some more to this thread.
I have been having trouble getting the send to pc from phone to work even using the TECOM version 16 software. When I first installed it it worked fine but when I rebooted the next time it wouldn't work. The send file to phone carried on working fine using My pictures and the XTND worked too. Incidentally to get these working again after upgrading to version 16 I had to uninstall them all and reinstall them once version 16 was installed.
So last night I tried tackling the send file to pc from phone problem.
I uninstalled everything and just reinstalled the version 16 software. I removed the usb bluetooth driver and reinstalled that successfully, however, the send to pc still wouldn't work.
So I then tried unplugging the bluetooth key and plugging back in. Now this seemed to be the probelm. I then tried sending from phone to pc and it worked! However, only once and then the dreaded 'no bluetooth devices found' message on my phone came back.
Incidentally in a previous thread I said you need to pair your phone to send to pc. This is not the case. It works better if you don't. However to send from pc to phone using the ericsson software pairing and connecting a serial port to a COM port is essential.
So back to the problem. I unplugged the key and plugged back in again and it worked again. This time it carried on working all night. So I don't know if this is an inherent problem I have on my system or if it is something universal because I have read on previous threads that people have sent to pc once and then it stopped working either when they reboot or even when they don't. I certianly have had no problems sending from pc to phone once the software and everything else is set up properly, just this damn problem with the sending to pc from phone.
It seems I have solved the problem, however, it means that everytime I reboot there is a chance that I have to unplug and replug in my BT key, but a small price to pay to get it working to tranfer all my MCA-20 pics to pc.
If anyone else has had similar problems with sending to pc even with the version 16 software which supports OBEX push then I suggest they try this method and let me know how you get on.
I hope it helps someone!

@drhigh
a long time ago (when this thread was much shorter ), we have discussed the same issue regarding the need to un-insert the adapter while booting the PC. there is no known work around other than making sure that you reboot the PC without the adapter, then put it back when booting is done. (now, this is an intermittent problem. sometimes, you can leave the adapter without it causing any problem)
@biohazard
have you "upgraded" your firmware? please read the instructions on how to do it a few posts/pages back. |

I expect this has already been covered somewhere but it seems to be unclear. To send files pc->phone with the widcomm software you do not need to use either sendfile or fma. Just drag and drop the file into the \"Inbox\" service of the phone in \"My Bluetooth Places\" and the file transfer occurs. Still wish it could be as easy as right clicking on a file but at the moment that only works for FTP profile and not ObjectPush

That's a great tip about the inbox. I haven't seen that anywhere before. It works a treat. |

I can't seem to get the drag and drop thing to work
I'm using widcomm software, but when I try to drag and drop, I cant because it comes up with the "no entry" type icon.
Just to check, is this the window I'm meant to drop it into?
My MSI drivers are 1.2.1.20
Using FMA and the Mobilet software, file transfer to the phone works fine though.
Another problem I have is sending to the PC from the phone.... it finds my computer, but then says the sending failed when I try to transfer the picture. What do I need to do to get this working?
Thanks

Its probably because you're using the old drivers.
For everyone
Use this link to upgrade to version 12.2.2.16 link here.
This link works on 31/10/2002. Can promise how long though.

I suggest you use a download manager (unless you're got broadband )
