Yes Yazan he can do that for example if he has a 2 and 7 stones then to weigh 5 kilos he can put that in each side of the scale.
Sailaab I have no idea how I got that ridiculous figure of one hundred thousand........blah blah blah. Ah well.

I probably heard something similar some time when I was a kid but it took me about 90 sec. to figure it out. |

Anish,
My guess is two out of the four have to be 1 and 9.
The last two are difficult, I think its 27, 3.
1, 3-1, 3, 3+1, 9-3-1, 9-3,9+1-3, etc.

It's too bad that I'm offline when you guys are online -- i always get to answer what's left. Anyway, here's my answer: The stone fragments are 1, 3, 9 and 27 kgs respectively.
1, 3-1, 3, 3+1, 9-3-1, 9-3, 9-3+1, 9-1, 9, 9+1, 9+3-1, 9+3, 9+3+1, 27-9-3-1, 27-9-3, 27-9-3+1, etc... I think you can figure out the rest.

Another point for Yazan, you are doing pretty well mate. Sorry Blackspot you are a bit late
Here we go again
A book worm decided to eat 4 volumes of Encyclopedia Britanicca. On the first day he decided to get through the first two volumes. So he wiggled his way to the first page of volume one and ate all the way to the last page of volume 2, then wiggled out and went home.
Then the next day he took the next two volumes starting at the first page of volume 3 and eating through to the last page of volume 4.
he eats in a straight line and it is horizontal. Now each cover of the book is 1 cm thick and all the pages of each book together are 2 cm. So each book is 4 cm thick.
So finally the question is.....What distance did he eat through?"
This should be very easy

but he started to eat from 1st page. he didn't eat the book cover and the last. so he eat from 1st page though two covers (one of the 1st book and from the second book) and he quit on the last page. so thats 6cm and + the others two books = 12cm.
never mind. so maybe if the books were open, so he eat through 8cm?
