Hello
Regarding the WAP limit problem...
( deep breath )
The main issue at the moment is with many of the browsers on board the phones - the max "payload" they will accept is low, often somewhere around the 3 Kb limit ( as is the case with the T68i ).
It would take the phone manufacturer to make a change in the firmware to raise this limit.
Even if that was done, the limit would then be somewhere around 8 Kb, which is the limit on most WAP gateways at the moment ( note that browser and gateway negotiate limit in WAP ).
This limit probably is not going to change too much in the next few months, so it still stuffs you for images bigger than about 7.5 Kb ( depending alot on the wml around the image and also the gateway ). Obviously for screensavers you are completely stuffed because you don't tend to get much change out of 20 Kb usually.
However, do not despair completely. This situation COULD change within the next 6 ish months, with the advent of MMS. Most implementations should use a WAP gateway, and then the limit will HAVE to be raised, as average MMS is going to be 30Kb supposedly.
SE could also release a patched-up browser, which might partially fix this problem, but as with most of these things, for it to work for everyone everywhere, a number of different things need to be done.
My suggestion would be pay the money, get a datacable. Alternatively get a USB-->IrDA adapter and do things that way. It's a simpler and cheaper solution in the long run.

benjytrainer> How come some people can download items over 3kb on their T68 if it's a firmware problem? Excuse my ignorance bit I don't understand. I though it was a SP issue?

i know im a user so excuse my arrogance but the prob wit downlaodin stuff over 3kb is nothin 2 dfo wit the handset
its due to networks WAP server profiles
nearly all UK networks have set limitations in place on their WAP servers n by in large the standard cut off point is 3kb, so unless u contact ur operator n enquire bout upgradin your WAP service then iz afraid ur stuck with the limits
Working for Virgin Mobile on the T-Mobile network i have double checked this and it is definitely the case
T-Mobile did advise though as prev post suggests wit MMS coming soon (well already on T-Mobile) then wap gateways will become bigger so that shud b good, bear in mind though some Networks have plans to implement MMS on top od SMS and use the SMSC's as the servers which would therefore in some cases bypass the WAP servers so wudnt make a diff at all !
neways thats my 2 cents
true.

have you tried the Xbox? it's impressive...Halo, Project Gotham Racing, i dont thing the GC or PS2 can touch that for graphics, the games are more lifelike too, feel like your in a film whereas the GC feels like your in a cartoon....

Old post but I have tried the Xbox but not in these games it was Oddworld, Spiderman and watched Halo - wasn't impressed at all! Wait until Mario Sunshine comes out and you will be in gaming heaven!
Didn't think the Xbox's graphics were better thatn the cubes! But both are better than the PS2 which I can't deny!
It worries me that PS2 and heading towards their online gaming and Nintendo look to be backing off a bit. Lucky I've got them both but a prefer my cube now!

I haven't played any games on the Xbox. I have a Game Cube and love that, I was thinking about getting one as well.
