Are you sure that pic is taken with K700. The picture quality is ok, but im hoping it will be better. I heard from somewere that the camera on K700 shaould be one of a kind. That did'nt impressed me very much.

you must be thinking of the S700 (1.3mp) - theres nothing really special about the camera in K700 - its "just" a VGA cam - like you can find in several other phones today. Still a big improvement over the T610 cam. You gotta remember that the K700 is not ment to be one of S//E's high-end phones - but a good midrange successor to the T610 targeted at people who want a good phone at a reasonable midrange price. As an indoor picture taken with a VGA cam I'd say it fairs resonable well compared to other VGA cams of today. For more youd need to look into the S700 instead.

Review of K700 out on mobile-review, but in Russian

http://www.mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-k700.shtml

Having a read through it (translation from freetranslation.com), it appears although the K700 has 32MB memory, only 10-12MB is usable for the user to store pictures tones mp3s etc... if this is true, not good.

But the address book is a LOT better than previous models

if the phone has a total memory of 32MB - why is there than only a space of 12 MB left ? they can't put 20MB of presaved stuff on the phone

I agree. When eldar first posted pics of the K700, he had a unit with the OS from the Z1010 (thats what it reported in the menus). Even then it showed around 11MB of free space left. I had thought it was because there was only 12MB in the phone (prototype).

But that is not what he is saying in the review. Hopefully this is something he overlooked.

It could simply be because it comes preloaded with some videoclips to show off - videoclips take up lots of space.
Im sure it will be possible to gain more than 12mb for the user once you get the phone.

the k700's of the cebit also were hidden z1010's, and also only 12 mb of free memory after a master reset.

i don't think se would be as stupid to say - oh well there are 32MB memory in the phone, guess what, thats about 450 photos, but sorry we don't give you the full 32MB, because of some preloaded stuff it only supports 12MB ....
i personnaly think that this very early os just doesn't support more than 12MB - > most of the xbox hardrives also have 10GB space but the os takes it as 8GB

From what Eldar said in the review it looks like the T650 will be out in Sept with memory slot and megapixel camera!
