drfell, i am from oklahoma city, ok, usa. i will check my settings as soon as i get it back form SE. i called to see about a firmware update, according the the sn, it's still under warranty. they are going to upgrade it for me. i should have it back in a few days. |

OK I have spoke to the place I got my new phone from. The problem with the time and date is because it has not been charged from factory. This phone is a prototype that has never been used and that is why it is in such good condition. It needs to be charged up a few times to get it working properly. drfell I asked about another prototype and he has one prototype left with a silver cover and one copper one left which is not a prototype, the copper one has a small mrk on the front of the cover but he says it is only a very small mark. He is willing to swap the covers over and make a copper prototype the same as mine if you are interested and the price is £79 plus postage to your country. I do not know how much this is so will have to find out.

Have not tried GPRS and WAP yet as the sim I am using is only a test sim. Will try it this weekend to see what happens. I do not know whether ot os just my sim or the phone but it makes a funny click noise when it connects will try it out on another sim but to be honest I am not bothered as it is a prototype so who cares. I LOVE THIS PHONE

If you give your freinds this number and tell them to say the man who got the copper R520 has told them to ring and ask for the R520 prototype but can he put the copper cover on it please. The number is +441772880880 it is a place called Preston telecom in Preston Lancashire

looks like i know 2 other ppl w/ a prototype unit... 
damn... urs was made 00W40??? u beat mine by 3 weeks...  but at least my motion snooze works hehe...

2 ebody! Think proto is a unique. Creeper is right, a kind of conc car, but the diff to a car is, that u can own 1 of it. Even not all features can be used, u can try 4 example games or some other things, what never been released. I wonder why no tetris in later R520 phones, i do like it.
