I've loaded two of them on Esato for you all to judge the full size:

They look no different to me, Also 3mp & 8mp is not a measurement of quality it's just a resolution

I know what megapixels are, but if you zoom in to these pics they have shallow edges and very little detail. A 3mp image would have much less detail than an 8mp, is the point I was getting at. I don't see an improvement, only a step back here. |

It's just a resolution not even a measure of detail, the c905's sensor would have done alot better with less megapixels actually less noise reduction would be needed so more detailed and better quality pics.

So if I took two photos, one with an 8mp cam, and one with a 3mp cam, them posted them at 1024 x 768, the 8mp would have the same level of detail? I don't think so. |

Corse no, because the 8mp would be even more compressed at the resolution giving it better details, but a fullsized 8mp & 3mp apart from the 8mp being bigger, details would be the same with camPHONES the 3mp would have the better details.

Maybe. I'm at work in an office at the moment. A full size picture of what exactly?

Yes so if you take the same photo with the two different resolutions, the highest resolution captures more detail. It doesn't just make the picture bigger without an increase in detail picked up.
