Maybe it was disabled somehow or a bug of the phone firmware. Or you did something with the phone like changing SIM cards, master reset or maybe firmware update and you have it now.

nope did nothing at all, literally just popped up! I didnt even restart my phone

Then may be this service started by your operator recently. For sure, why not you call them?

Can anyone tell me if MyPhoneExplorer 1.7 works with the C902 I've connected it to the pc and selected phone mode (just as I did with my K800i) but I keep getting an error message "Could not open COM3!"

Cheers

It's not something they would just 'turn off'. More than likely your Operator has just improved service in your area that's all.

Yeah it works fine. Try to connect with other USB port.

go to options in mpe and "search for device" - the new c902 driver will be
pointing at a different com port - number of times I've been caught by that !
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Does the C902 have TV out ?
Some say yes some say no.

And does it come with a TV out cable ?

Also what is the Video capture resolution ??
Can't seem to find any details on the above.

In my unit I haven’t found any TV out option and it does not come with a TV out cable.

I'm just wondering, do any C902 owners have the flash light/torch function available in their Organiser menu? I ask this because it appears that some C902s are coming with this function, and some don't and I want to know why... So, anyone?

Alright mate, thanks. Does anyone have the light function here?

Also, you can't change your softkey shortcuts. Not at least until the phone becomes moddable with XS++ or a similar program.
