Pk, looking at your video i cant make what fps is it. Can any expert take a look if its 15 or 30fps.

video is definitely 15fps.
and there are 2 possiblities:
1- white paper info are wrong (as in most cases)
2- this is a BUG and will be fixed later (which i HIGHLY doubt - because of some analyses of the video)

Haven't watched the video Peter K posted, but I think he mentioned the recording starts at 30 fps and then dropps to 15 fps. Apperently same bug was present in K850 until a FW upgrade was done.

@arne anka
So after fw upgrade (k850) is it now 30fps. Can we hope for w890 to b 30fps after an upgrade.
Thanks

well, the w890 white paper says 30fps but the 3 videos I've tried now all shows as 15 so yes, we can hope I suppose

actually the videos do look fine enough, and I would rather have VGA at 15fps than QVGA at 30fps though that is not the choice here of course

I was pretty sure the stereo speakers was a mistake. Hopefully Masseur or PK can confirm.

I'd find it hard to believe there were stereo speakers from the sound it produces, apart from the fact I see only one speaker opening.

I suppose if I put the 2 side by side and played the same track synchronously I might get some stereo

it is a solid feel and call quality is excellent. I wouldn't be unhappy with the pics (I also wasn't unhappy with the K850 pics either)

the walkman player works fine though I would prefer it to auto rotate between portrait and landscape as I'm very used to that now on the iphone

in fact I'm finding most phone interfaces quite dull now after getting used to the iphone, even my TyTN II although I am running PointUI home on that which gives alot more finger control than the minimalist HTC touch thats implemented into the TyTN II.

the radio works very well too. I used that for my trip into the office this morning.

fantastic great little handset for slipping into your pocket for a night out

the radio alone makes it a worthwhile upgrade IMHO but as for looks, well the person I got the silver one for is slightly less than impressed with this styling compared to the silver w880 she got from me last year

so I fear this may need to be sold on, but she is still deciding

I think it looks heaps better! To be honest, I only like the W880i in real life. Whenever I see a picture of one, I think it looks dated and square and a bit boring. When I see one in reality, I like it more, but the W890i's styling beats it hands-down.

the buttons on the W890i are hard and great quality, much preferred to the w880i buttons which are strong but too thin for me.

@masseur and pk,

noticed any bugs?

more importantly, any similar to those found in the k850/w910 since they are all running a200?
