@ BlueQuill,
how much exposure is there in the Indian media regarding the SA cricket team's tour to India next month?
BTW,the ex-wicket keeper for India that I was getting muddled with, would that not be Nayan Mongia from that era?

A few more sleeps to our forum's 1st birthday,y'all.

The doorbell has rung countless times with kids trick-or-treating here tonight.I used to think that it was only a big deal in North America.Clearly not.
I was tempted to create a mean 'Predator' outfit, complete with skull collection et al, and scare the living daylights outa them when I opened the door, but somehow I seemed to be more effective without a scary outfit...

Wanqa, there is already a lot of talk here regarding SA's tour. Especially since their current form is just excellent. And given the depth in the SA team in terms of batsmen, the Indians have some serious thinking to do. Yes, the keeper was nayan m .

A Happy and Peaceful Diwali to all who are celebrating today. May the day be filled with joy and happiness, and be careful of those fireworks :-)

@kryptik, the law which we have in place here is just a little different. Its mandatory to report to the police in case your phone is 'lost' but it does not lead to a criminal offence if you fail to do so. The law is for the people's benefit only. Say that my phone is stolen, and i just stay quiet about it. The phone unfortunately lands up with some terrorist and he uses it for his own evil schemes. When the police trace his calls, they will get from the records that the phone is mine. So, there i had it. With such a large population we are second in the world in terms of mobile phones. Also you guys must be knowing about the constant threat we face from many extremist groups. In a way it is for one's own safety and good that once the phone is stolen or lost , the matter is reported to the police and the phone as well as the sim are locked.

@bradboy: South African will be visiting that penal colony for the Boxing Day and New Year tests...don't think they'll be coming here, I might be wrong.

Back to matters mobile, does anyone around here use Mobile Mule, the mobile version of eMule that infamous P2P application? I need a way to configure it.

I officially have 2 left feet, which means i was under the impression for many years that there's a wicket keeper in soccer as well Just kidding, snooker, martial arts and weight-lifting are more my line.

No info on the Mule as yet, Brix, but i've a query too. Does anybody know the latest firmware version for the 3230 by any chance?

I'm not au fait with anything Nokia, so no I have no clue about the firmware for the 3230.

Someone was being silly yesterday by calling in a bomb threat in the city centre...a busy thoroughfare was closed for almost 45 minutes as the bomb disposal unit searched a building.

Tell me about it, our nerves are shot here with all the bush fires we've been having. There have been 103 fires in the past 7 days in the immediate vicinity of the city itself, fire dept being stretched to the max. A few cellular masts have been affected, but nothing serious. For the week alone just on half a million has been spent on diesel for the fire engines... My cuz is the storeman for the chief fire station, he reckons their switchboard has been jammed with calls diverted from the SP emergency numbers.
