I have an Orange K750i with R1N035. When I use Update Service 2.2.10 I am advised that I am using the most up to date firmware! How can I install R1AA008 through SE website?

Hi,

My SE K750i is currently running with R1N035. I checked the first post of this thread and obviously a newer version is available so i went to the K750i Support Page and i can no longer find the "SEUS" link.

I popped back to this thread and noticed that there is mention of an offline version of SEUS so i downloaded and installed that. When i run it i am presented with the following:

Code:
Server Busy:

Server busy, too many users. Please try again later.

I tried randomly yesterday and today and still get the same message. I dont really want to pay for Davinci again (Already done it 3 times now as i didnt realise unlock was seperate to flash) so is there a way around this or perhaps another link to the web page based version of SEUS?

Thanks,

RA.

Your conclusion comes from broken hopes and dreams... Everytime SE releases an update to the firmware people hope for miracles... they dream of new features, faster firmware and so on. Then when they understand that there are no new cool games, super fast menus, new settings, they get dissapointed and start writing "WTF", "F*CK SE" and so on...

You got what you bought and the few glitches that came with the phone is what's getting fixed along all these updates - no new features...

@ CyberVisitor:

I totally agree with your captioned comments except that my conclusion came from broken hopes and dreams. Please go through my post again and check if i have ever wrote these words for SE:). You have mistaken me for guys who act like you just mentioned! I never also dreamed of getting new features via new firware either. I am not a new user of SE and knows their handsets quite well since they launched T68.

I think it's obvious that the majority of people find R1AA008 a great improvement (bug fixes) over R1N035, so please, go brush your teaths instead of spreading your bad breath...

I would say man cool down, take deep breath, probably take cold shower or may be spend sometime out in the freezing cold or you may like to take blood pressure lowering tables or apply ice-bag over your head!!

The reason you came up with this reply is that u never read throughly my post b4 commenting on it. My biggest concern right now is HISSING SOUND, coz the device is basically a CELL PHONE with lots of other features, so if there is something wrong with its basic use, which is to make calls and receive calls with clear voice so that the party calling and receiving can hear each other clearly and properly without any distortions, it annoys me alot and specially when that problem was not there at all b4 i upgraded to the new firmware. i have been using mine K750i since April 2005 and never experienced any HISSING SOUND either in the speakerphone or in the ear-piece, however, i am hearing it, irrespective of whereever i dial or whoever calls me. Thats why i say its not as good as R1N035.

As far as the MS corruption/transfer bug is concern, i never experienced it with when i was using R1N035 and neither experiencing it now with R1AA008!

The other point i wanted to make is, everyone is this world is free to make his/her opinion, everyone has free will, so never ever try to impose your views over others. Learn to respect others views and at the same time make your own views, there is no harm in it at all. Dnt try to bulldoze others views, coz this state of mind is called "I am right, you are wrong", remember the winning state is "you are right, i am right". Hope this really help you!!!

Took me 10mins with an 8mb connection but I think the actual installing on the phone is the bottleneck

Some thoughts on the hissing issue:

- Using external speaker it's clearly noticeable, but only if you have the phone really close to the ear and you have the music paused or at the lowest possible volume. But then you can't hear the music (for any practical purpose) anyway

- Using handsfree, I can't notice it unless it's completely silent around me.

Here's my theory why the hissing has increased:

As you may have noticed, the maximum volume has been increased. The only way to do this is to increase the gain of the amplifier. But since the gain obviously is fixed (the volume is adjusted digitally), you will also get increased noise since the s/n-ratio is hardware-dependent and cannot be enhanced through firmware-upgrade.

The amplifier is not turned off unless you exit mediaplayer, that may explain why the battery is draining quicker even if the music is paused.

@SE7

You have been using the K750 since april 2005? Ok, then you must be included in the SE hardware testing group and therefore I don't know why you don't report to your team instead of burping your bad breath here...

...you see, the K750 was released worldwide may 23 2005 - not one day earlier! Don't even try to make up a sad story about you knowing someone who knows someone else who actually have an inside connection to the truck driver from the SE factory who managed to sneak out one especially for YOU

Relax, we all get your point ... R1AA008 is good for everyone except you Your R1N035 was perfect and now your phone is totally screwed with R1AA008 and holds all the bugs from the R1N035 firmware even though you never had those problem ... eh?

UPDATE: I see you registered at Esato may 23 2005 - I'll bet it was the same day as you bought your K750 since that was the release date not april 2005 as you said

nope, he is not alone with HISSING SOUND of ear speaker. What so good in r1aa008, if ms bug is still present and now one more serious bug? now i have to listen to that noise almost every call. So, for me R1L (and i think i'm not the only one) is still the best firmware for k750, even R1N035 is better!
